Fundraising Weekly Raffle Congratulations to Jill Watson for winning the raffle last week. This week’s raffle is the last weekly raffle for the season and we’re going out with a bang! This week we have 2 sets of Broncos tickets (2 prizes) to give away to the Roosters game on Thursday 1 September. Please do your best to sell tickets for this as people really do want to buy a ticket for a chance to win. It was disappointing to note that a couple of weeks ago teams who have had volunteers selling tickets regularly all season had volunteers on roster who wouldn’t sell tickets and it definitely showed in the significant drop in sales on the day. The funds raised from the sales of tickets go towards replacing equipment and facilities that we all use.

End of Season Raffle The final raffle of the season kicks off this week and raffle tickets will be distributed to team managers prior to your games this week. Please ensure you take these and sell/buy them. They will be due back by Grand Final day, but I will take money and tickets in the usual fashion at the Fundraising Desk every week in case you aren’t around on those last two weeks. If you are able to take more books to work, school, etc to sell please let me know so I can get them to you. Some of the prizes up for grabs are a fully installed skylight, Apple iPad Mini 4, Straddie Ferries voucher and a massage voucher. The full list will be available on the tickets and in next week’s newsletter. Renaissance BBQ We have been invited to man a BBQ stall at their annual fair on Sunday 11 September. We have some volunteers already for the event and a coordinator to organise the food and the stall, but we are still looking for some more helpers if you have some time on the day. This is the last chance to earn back your volunteer credits for the season if you need to earn a couple more hours. Please contact me if you can help and I will pass your details on to the coordinators. Thanks. Angela Woodall, Fundraising Coordinator

Team Reports

Under 16 White Wolves versed the formidable Green team on Saturday. They started the game playing in positions different to normal so they would gain an understanding of other players roles and perspectives. Some good play was displayed by all, however, with the tough opposition, the team choose to return to their familiar positions for the second half. The game had a close final result with the Wolves winning 2:1. Congratulations to both teams, their goal scorers, and the supporting U12s who are doing a wonderful job playing up a level. We'd like to thank Thomas for filling in as Goalie, and Zac and Sophie for their dynamic support on the field. Congratulations also to Luca who was awarded player of the match for an outstanding game and Rhys who received the Coaches award for his game consistency. Well done White Wolves. Lets keep this up and finish the season united. Deanne

U16 Maroon Madness played the Red Dragons this week. Red team won 1-0. Maddie Flatley was our player of the week and Lucy West received the encouragement award
