What to Expect in High School  Get Involved!!!  Take the most rigorous curriculum you can handle without

being overwhelmed.  Homework = min of an hour to hour and half nightly. **Do NOT buy into the “I have no homework tonight”  Colleges want rigor!!  Colleges want success:  You are working on your high school GPA  Honors Courses are weighted differently  It is a balancing act to push without overwhelming yourself  Students typically figure it out

Graduation Requirements  English – 4 credits needed for graduation

 Math – 4 credits and completion of Algebra 2  Social Studies – 3 credits including World Studies, US

History and US Government  Science – 3 credits (physical 1.0, biology 1.0 )  Health - .5 credits  PE - .5 credits or completion of PE Waive  PE course are worth .25 credits ( 2 courses)

 Digital Connections - .5 credits
