Donate the skills you use at work or school to bless someone’s life on your day off.

How well do you know your next-door neighbor? Smile and be kind today.

Get your family together this Sunday by hosting an event such as dinner or an online video chat.

Do families in your community give out neighbor gifts during the Christmas holiday? Help your parents prepare and deliver the gifts.

Identify something from a church sermon that you can do to help someone in need today.

Who in your Youth group is inactive. Reach out to them and be their friend.

Day 6 “Honour thy father and thy mother.”

Tell your parents (don’t just send a text) how much you love them. Learn about an ancestor, and share his or her story. FamilySearch can help you get started. (Visit FamilySearch.org.) Ask your parents for advice; you may be surprised by their wisdom.

Day 7

“Suffer the little children to come unto me.” Mark 10:14

Donate a toy to a children’s hospital, or make a contribution to a children’s charity. Teach a child about Jesus Christ and His infinite love for them. Teach a Family Home Evening lesson on Jesus Christ.

Ask for the someone’s forgiveness today that you need to apologize to. Take time to really listen and try to understand another person’s point of view. Say something nice behind people’s backs.

Day 8

“Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”

Matthew 5:44

Reach out to apologize to someone you may have hurt or offended. Focus on being kind to someone you have a hard time getting along with for an entire week. Stand up for your peer in front of a bully.

Day 9 “I was sick and ye visited me.”

Matthew 25:36 Organize a blood drive for your Ward or Stake. Go visit a resident in a nursing home to lift someone’s spirits today.

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life.”

John 5:39 Share your favorite scripture with friends and family on social media. Make a commitment to read the scriptures for 15 minutes every day this week.

Resolve to pray daily for your loved ones who need spiritual strength or healing.

Text a scripture to someone and explain why you thought of sharing it with him or her.

Day 11

Day 12 “I was a stranger and ye took me in.”

Invite someone you want to get to know to lunch to get to know him or her better. Has a stranger ever done something nice for you? Determine a way to pay the kind act forward. Visit IWasAStranger.lds.org to get involved to help refugees.

Offer to provide comfort and a listening ear to someone mourning. Do you know someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts. Reach out to them and let them know you care. Bake cookies for someone that isn’t feeling well.

Day 13

“All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them.”

Day 14 “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21

Reach out to someone you saw get bullied on social media and send some positive vibes his or her direction. What’s something that could really brighten your day? Do that for someone else. It’s never too late to admit your mistake and say you’re sorry. Apologize today.

Clear some space on your calendar to spend some quality time with a younger sibling. Do what they want to do! Volunteer your time at a charity that means something to you. Sacrifice the cost of your favorite dish to help feed the hungry.

Day 16

Day 15 “Blessed are the merciful.”

Does someone owe you money? Figure out a meaningful way to ease the person’s burdens. Do you have a friend that struggles in school? Ask him or her how you can help. Know a family struggling to make ends meet? Find a way to make their Christmas special.

Donate some clothes to a charity or thrift store. Buy a new winter coat and give it to someone in need. Consider purchasing through an online store that donates a portion of an item’s price directly to a charity of your choice.

Day 17

Day 18 “Ye shall meet together oft.”

“Forgive men their trespasses.”

When was the last time you attended a church service? Come worship with us! Schedule a time this week to spend real quality time with family (without electronic devices). Organize a social gathering to bring everyone in your Youth group a little closer this holiday season.

Day 19 “Rejoice, and be exceeding glad.” Matthew 5:12 Send someone that needs cheering up a personalized care package in the mail. Reach out to someone who has blessed your life, and thank the person for his or her example. Find somebody who doesn’t receive thanks very often, and make the person’s day amazing.

Write down all of a person’s positive qualities, and then try to imagine how God sees them. Is there a family member or friend that’s offended you? Give them a call and resolve your differences. Do you have unresolved differences with someone? Don’t let anger or regret fester. Take action to work it out.

Day 20

“A man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”

Luke 12:15

Give something you cherish to someone who would appreciate it. Plan something to do with someone who has made a difference in your life, and make a new treasured memory. Give up something material during the holidays. Tell someone who will hold you accountable, and invite the person to join you in your goal.

Day 21

“For I was an hungered and ye gave me meat.”

Day 22 “That which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do.” 3 Nephi 27:21

Matthew 25:35 Donate your favorite nonperishable items to a food bank in your area.

Write your favorite teaching of Christ in a note or card and pass it along to someone.

Help prepare a home-cooked meal and take it to a friend in need, or invite the person to your home for dinner.

Focus on emulating a characteristic of Christ this week.

Share a spiritually uplifting message with someone who is spiritually hungry.

Send a Christlike person you know a note of appreciation expressing your gratitude for his or her example.

Day 23 “I was in prison and ye came unto me.” Matthew 25:36 Reach out to a person that’s been affected by addiction and offer your support and love. Write a letter to a friend or family member that’s incarcerated. Reach out and go for a walk or have a nice chat with someone who is depressed.

Day 24 “Ye must watch and pray always.” 3 Nephi 18:15 Recognize God’s blessings by saying a prayer to give Him thanks. Ask God to help you be an answer to someone else’s prayer. Say a prayer in which you never mention your own needs but instead pray solely for them.

Day 25

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

Matthew 5:16

Share a teaching or principle of Jesus Christ on social media. Make some plans or goals to continue to serve throughout 2018. Who in your life exemplifies the principle of letting your light shine? Thank that person for their example.
