MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS An earned doctorate from a regionally accredited institution and six (6) or more years of professional experience in higher education including experience in college teaching and academic administration, and at least three (3) years of supervisory experience required. Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, communication, team-building, instructional technology literacy, supervisory skills and experience with regional accreditation and external program accreditation essential. The ability to plan, develop and execute academic services and programs and engage faculty in student outcomes assessment a must. NCCC is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader with demonstrated academic and student affairs experience, analytical ability as well as management expertise. The successful candidate must demonstrate a collegial and collaborative managerial style along with excellent communication skills and the ability to form effective working relationships with a broad range of constituencies both within the college as well as outside in the community. RESPONSIBILITIES The Dean of Academic & Student Affairs reports to the President of the College and provides college-wide vision, leadership and strategic direction and is a member of the President’s Executive Team and Cabinet. As Chief Academic and Student Affairs Officer is responsible for the following areas:  Management and supervision of all academic programs, faculty, professional and support staff within the academic and student affairs divisions;  Curriculum and course development;  Instructional innovation, quality and outcomes assessment;  Development & implementation of college goals and academic strategic plan;  Academic and student affairs budget distribution and management;  Implementation of all academic and student affairs policies;  Student conduct and compliance with all federal and state student affairs policies and regulations.

COMPENSATION The starting salary for this position is negotiable, depending on qualifications and experience. The position receives an excellent benefits package with respect to medical and dental insurance, retirement and related fringe.
