Ninth President of Fullerton College Appointed Dr. Greg Schulz to Assume Permanent Presidency

Fullerton, Calif. – The Board of Trustees is pleased to announce Dr. Greg Schulz as the ninth president of Fullerton College. He has served as Interim President since July 1. Schulz’s appointment will be officially approved on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 by the North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD) Board of Trustees, which governs Cypress College, Fullerton College, and the School of Continuing Education. “Dr. Schulz had overwhelming support from District leadership,” said Fred Williams, NOCCCD Interim Chancellor. “I am confident that he will continue Fullerton College’s tradition of excellence.” Incoming NOCCCD Chancellor Dr. Cheryl Marshall agrees, “Greg has earned the trust of the college community and is clearly passionate about the students we serve. I look forward to working with him as part of the senior leadership team.” Schulz has 16 years of leadership experience in community colleges and higher education. Prior to his interim presidency, he served as the provost of NOCCCD’s School of Continuing Education for three years. Prior to that, he spent two years as the Dean of Trades, Industrial and Career Technologies at Long Beach City College, as well as four years as the Dean of Instruction and Student Services and five years as the Manager of - more -

Administrative Services, both at NOCCCD’s School of Continuing Education. A certified public accountant, he also has accounting experience at the County of Orange and Vicenti, Lloyd & Stutzman LLP. “I am excited and honored to have the opportunity to serve Fullerton College as President,” said Schulz. “Fullerton College has earned an outstanding reputation for being an innovative, student-centered institution of higher learning that is committed to serving our community. I look forward to working closely with our faculty and staff to help our students thrive.” Schulz’s academic credentials include an associate’s degree in Business Administration from Fullerton College; bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Accounting from California State University, Fullerton; master’s degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and an Ed.D. in Education from the University of Southern California.

NOCCCD Background Two of the state’s premiere colleges and most extensive continuing education program combine to provide the quality educational programming of the North Orange County Community College District (NOCCCD).
