Dear Yoga Magazine Readers, Welcome to the December issue. This month we feature a brilliant Skandasana yoga sequence, that’s built around the side lunge to stretch the body, tone the core and prepare us mentally and emotionally for the start of a New Year. We also catch up with Jessica Smith, who provides some great poses to energise and relax from her Yoga Stretch DVD, and there’s essential advice for yoga teachers on the ‘Art of Adjustment’ to ensure students get more from their practice. Our guest teacher this month, David Lurey, guides on a sequence to Fly like an Eagle, and we meet Katie H. Willcox, who is on a mission to change perceptions on what is a healthy body image. Katie also provides a nice workout to ease the mind and de-stress. As we know, Christmas can often be a stressful period, so we have some yogic advice on how to get through it stress-free, and there’s some great advice to help us to reconnect to stop us feeling lonely. Plus there’s a wonderful beauty Christmas guide full of inspirational, organic goodies, and we feature a teaching from Zen Master Yoshida Kenko.
