Decree Holy Trinity School in Evansville DECREE Establishing Holy Trinity Catholic School Whereas the pastors of St. Joseph Parish in Jasper, Indiana, Precious Blood Parish in Jasper, Indiana, St. Mary Parish in Ireland, Indiana, Holy Family Parish in Jasper, Indiana, St. Mary Parish in Huntingburg, Indiana, St. Raphael Parish in Dubois, Indiana, and St. Peter Celestine Parish in Celestine, Indiana, after having consulted their respective parish councils, have requested the establishment of an interparochial school in order to promote academic excellence and for the best utilization of fiscal and human resources; Whereas, following discussion and consultation with the Presbyterate Council, and after having heard from the respective pastors and interested parties, and in accord with canons 794, 796 §1, 800, and 803, I hereby decree the establishment of Holy Trinity Catholic School from the formerly existing Precious Blood Catholic School, Holy Family Catholic School, and St. Mary Catholic Preschool. The campuses of the newly established Holy Trinity Catholic School are presently located at its central campus: 1385 West 6th St. in Jasper, Indiana, its east campus: 990 Church Ave. in Jasper, Indiana, and its west campus: 2829 North 500 West in Jasper, Indiana. Interim norms hereby specify that the names of Precious Blood Catholic School and Holy Family Catholic School are retained until the completion of the 2014-2015 academic year on May 29, 2015 at which time they are automatically known as Holy Trinity Catholic School. Furthermore, I have approved the statutes for Holy Trinity Catholic School. Fiscal responsibility for Holy Trinity Catholic School is hereby prorated by a proportional amount annually for each of the parishes whose students attend the school. In the event that Holy Trinity Catholic School should close, the aforementioned formula for financial responsibility shall be observed.

The provisions of this decree are to take effect on January 1, 2015, all things to the contrary notwithstanding. These provisions may be appealed according to the norm of law (c. 1734 §1).
