Design Engineer Vacancy We are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to assist our Design Team. Based in the West Midlands, the role has two distinct, but intrinsically linked parts: Part One: To work with designers (in-house and independent) and suppliers (UK and overseas) to engineer the plastic and metal components required to realise each year’s new products. The product types include stacking, conference and task seating, plus tables, desking and office pods. Technical problem solving, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to follow something through are essential skills. Part Two: Once component parts are out of tools and approved for serial production you will be responsible for the implementation of these new products across all of our manufacturing sites in the UK, Middle East, North America and Asia - ensuring adherence to a single global specification and providing the information required for each factory to document and build for their own markets. Essential: Experience of injection moulding, metal casting and steel fabrication; Amazing Solidworks skills; Willingness to travel (Europe, Asia, North America); A confident communicator; Energetic and highly motivated.
