Developer / Digital Designer This position designs and assists in the development and management of assigned intranet and Internet projects for the agency and its clients. This person should be skilled at conceiving and building websites… that are visually inviting, functional, dynamic, effective, and capable of maintaining the brand image and achieving the strategic goals/objectives set forth by the client. This person works with designated account personal, designers, creative directors, art directors, copywriters and content developers within the agency to produce, maintain and update content and design for agency produced and maintained websites. This position also produces online creative elements and advertisements (banner ads, buttons, interstitials, presentations, iPad, iPhone, mobile, emails, social media applications, etc.) for assigned online advertising projects based on provided creative briefs. This job function requires some familiarity with rich media and online bandwidth considerations. This position should be capable of handling multiple projects, and have strong interpersonal skills. This person should have a design sensibility and an eye for detail, and be skilled at verbal and written communications. This position must be a self-starter and have the ability to think outside of the box. This position should have knowledge of and experience in web, information and interactive design. This position must have experience with programs such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Flash. This person should also have experience with and/or knowledge of web server hardware, site architecture, user interface requirements, web navigation, web page layout, cross platform issues, browser and platform compatibility and capability, animation, image compression, size and speed issues. This person must have at least one year of programming experience HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL and SQL Server, Windows and Linux servers, and XML development. This person must also be able to work independently or on a team with an assigned web designer or others as required. The web developer must be able to handle multiple projects, reliably meet deadlines and produce fully functional web projects. A degree in communications design or a related field is desirable. Reports to the designated IPM lead. Duties: • Works with assigned account personal, creative personal, programmers and copywriters/content developers to concept and design websites and other interactive properties which will meet client strategic planning objectives. •
When requested, helps develop content for web/interactive projects.

With the copywriter and account personal, prepares web/interactive design projects for presentation/demo to the account lead, and if approved, to account service personnel and clients.

Provides regular progress reports for ongoing web/interactive design projects.

Assists with updating and maintenance of intranet and internet properties.
•
Concepts, designs and assists in launching a variety of online advertising formats (banner ads, buttons, interstitials, presentations, iPad, iPhone, mobile, emails, social media applications, etc.).

Periodically reviews websites and other interactive properties and recommends updates of content and design.
•
Stays current with regard to web design trends, tools and practices.
•
Requests additional training, tools, software and hardware upgrades to ensure a high level of skills and knowledge.
