An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Business Development area to support the delivery of our digital channel strategy within Danske Bank (UK) as a Digital Consultant. Danske Bank (UK) is one of Northern Ireland’s leading Retail Banks, operating 46 Branches and 4 Regional Finance Centres. It employs around 1,400 staff serving Personal, Business and Corporate customers. The Role Reporting to the Digital Channels Manager, as a Digital Consultant, you will support the development and implementation of strategies and initiatives to optimise the effectiveness, efficiency and usage of Danske Bank UK’s digital proposition for our customers. Typical Responsibilities As a Digital Consultant you will work with the wider team to support the development of detailed and compelling business cases to obtain funding & prioritisation for Digital Channel initiatives. Working closely with and influencing colleagues across the bank and other key stakeholders, to ensure understanding and buy-in to various Digital Channel strategies, concepts and initiatives. You will also collaborate with and influence Group colleagues to maximize leverage from Group Digital Channel initiatives – travelling to Copenhagen will be required. As a member of the Digital Team you will have a responsibility for the adaptation, implementation, management and maintenance of Group Digital Channel concepts and initiatives and the migration of customers to the channel. You will play an important role in the ongoing enhancement of our Digital Service to ensure that the Bank and its customers are provided with a high quality, professional and cost effective service.

Digital Consultant Experience: Essential:     

Good understanding of digital technologies and an awareness of developing trends. Experience in the initiation and delivery of business improvement activities in the digital environment. Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and assess performance. Ability to co-ordinate, collate, assess and produce information in support of strategic decision making forums. Experience of negotiating and influencing at all levels.

Preferred:   

Understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements in financial services. Knowledge of banking products, services and competitor activities. Experience in managing an online customer journey/experience.

These hours may be averaged over a longer reference period in accordance with the needs of the business, and may include working on Sunday. In the first instance your hours will be arranged between 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Saturday. These are the Bank's normal hours of work. If you are required to work alternative patterns which include Sundays you will be paid in accordance with the payment arrangements, set out in the Business Procedures, which apply to this type of working in your line of business.

Digital Consultant You may be required to work additional hours as the needs of the Bank demand. Details of the terms applicable are to be found in the Human Resources – Danske Bank Northern Ireland Business Procedures. A 6 month probationary period applies in this role. Salary Range £27,157 - £42,427 (depending on previous experience) Relocation is not available.
