JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for project coordination on all interactive projects. This position will monitor current marketing campaigns to ensure campaign integration and promotion accuracy. The postholder must have the ability to work with layers of both internal and external contacts. This position will work as a liaison between our US Sales and Marketing Teams (including a close collaboration with the Advertising & Marketing Specialist), E-Business Team in Grand Cayman and our external Agency Partners. Additionally, this position will manage CIDOT’s US database(s) and assist in defining targets for the US region as established by the CIDOT’s Digital Media & Marketing Strategy. Reporting to the US GM and with operational day to day accountability to the Manager of E-Business and Market Research, the Digital Marketing Specialist ensures that business strategy and targets are met on a US national level. KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS • Develop Strategies and Interactive initiatives to assist the Global Team to effectively achieve the department’s strategic objectives. •



Manages the execution of CIDOT’s Annual US Digital Marketing Plan by: o

Working with CIDOT marketing team and creative agency to develop digital assets needed to fulfill the plan.

o

Working with CIDOT marketing team and media agency on planning, implementation and performance optimization.

o

Working with CIDOT e-business team and web agency to ensure placed media that is directing to relevant web pages, are in sync.

Leverage digital marketing techniques to generate quality online traffic and ultimately visitor arrival conversion by: o

Working with communications and web marketing teams to develop effective landing pages.

o

Analyzing data for trends, anomalies and patterns, and making recommendations for improvements.

o

Working closely with the communications and web marketing teams to develop email marketing strategies; preparing, testing and scheduling all email campaigns.

o

Gathering email campaign results; developing reports to determine their effectiveness and strategies for improvement.

o

Working closely with the E-Business team and agencies to leverage social media outlets to maximize inbound traffic through the development of sound social media strategies, calendar development/ execution and managing social ad developments and budget.

Staying

current

with

related

trends,

developments

and

best

practices.



Monitor CIDOT interactive advertising efforts and providing recommendations to ensure effectiveness and positive conversions of campaigns.



Develop and implement a database marketing strategy.



Coordinate interactive business relationships with CIDOT partners in the US.



Develop systems to receive, analyze, report and disseminate the interactive/ digital marketing information to the US GM, E-Business Manager and Deputy Director (Marketing).



Working with the US National Sales Manager to provide interactive information and solutions for the development of US national and regional sales plans within the national marketing strategy.



Assist in the creative and technical development process for Digital media.



Foster relationships and monitor progress of digital assets with creative media.



Manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program for the US market.



Conduct studies and research projects (for on-line activities) as assigned.



Manage daily requests from internal and external agencies.



Oversee the digital assets within the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.



Other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be required to travel internationally and domestically from time to time.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: Essential: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, travel and hospitality or a related field of study with 5-7 years experience or equivalent 10 plus years Tourism, Travel Industry and destination online/ digital marketing experience in lieu of degree. • A minimum of 5-7 years hands-on experience in online/ digital media marketing. • Thorough understanding of related best practices and methodologies. • History of producing quantifiable results. • Solid understanding of HTML and CSS, especially in the context of email marketing. • Working knowledge and vast experience with CMSs. • Proficiency in reporting and analytical tools. • Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and ability to work independently. • Excellent project management skills. • Proven ability to be a forward thinker and generate engaging ideas and plans to support marketing efforts. • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to meet the changing demands of the marketplace. • Proven ability to build and maintain team relationships in geographically dispersed locations. • Strong computer proficiency in a variety of software applications including Microsoft Office (including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power-Point and CRM database software). • CRM solution experience desired. • Detail orientated and highly organized. • Expertise in critical thinking and analysis. • Outstanding customer satisfaction skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Strong presentation skills and experience. • Hands on leadership approach with ability to lead by example to achieve strategic goals. • Ability to multi-task and achieve results. • Positive team player and destination ambassador.

Desirable: • Post graduate degree in Marketing, E-Commerce or related area. • Prior experience marketing government or non-profit organizations. • Knowledge of the operation of a foreign government entity within US a plus. • Prior international work experience a plus. • Prior experience within a public-sector organization a plus. • Prior position within the tourism or travel related industry field desired.
