Casting your Leadership Shadow - Strategies to Shape a Positive Culture and Expand your Positive Executive Leadership Authentic and dependable leadership requires confidence in modelling your desired behaviours and attitudes and letting your team consistently see these in action. In order to understand these desired behaviours and to become effective leaders, we must become aware of our personal leadership values and the influential shadow we are casting. In the ‘busy-ness’ of our working environment, authentic leaders are interested in practical strategies, ideas and skills that they can apply personally and in their organisations. The concerns that come up time and time again are: How can I be an authentic leader? Consistent, accountable and effective. How can I be a more effective communicator? Being engaged, inclusive and in flow. How do I lead the right culture? Modelling constructive behaviour for my organisation and team. How do develop leadership insight and best grow as a Leader? Thinking about leadership as a practice and growing self-awareness. How can I be a competent leader? Skills for visioning, motivating and understanding people. The most effective way to create a positive and successful working environment is to understand that overall success is hinged on your team, the same team who collectively shift their behaviours to mirror yours. Understanding your values and successfully role-modelling a positive, hard-working and constructive culture is crucial in achieving an effective and motivated team. Within the ever-changing environment that is the Public Sector, it is so important to encourage leaders to trust their personal leadership style, and to understand their impact and influence on the team. This workshop focuses on supporting leaders focus on their leadership mindset, sustaining personal growth as a leader and cast their positive leadership shadow to effect real change in their workplace or business. Attendees will be equipped with the building blocks to understanding their own leadership styles and will learn to embrace their values and become confident in their techniques. Participants will leave with a clear action plan to put themselves forward for effective and authentic leadership. Leading with authenticity and personal leadership values • Understanding the attributes of an authentic leader who is accountable • Learning to trust yourself and your natural intuition to be more consistent • Identifying your goals as a leader Developing strategies to lead with mindfulness • Instilling positivity in the workplace • Staying grounded whilst taking on greater leadership challenges • Facing challenges with humility How to inspire vision and achievement • Supporting your team and communicating vision • Modelling constructive behaviour • Leading a motivated workforce Insight into understanding people and growing your team • Building and maintaining strong professional relationships • Empowering others to achieve their potential • Becoming a leader of positive influence

Leadership in uncertain times - Maintaining strategic innovation during times of uncertainty

Without understanding uncertainty it is easy to underestimate its impact. ABOUT THE EVENT Public Sector organisations continuously confront difficult challenges where simple solutions are usually absent. There is a renewed focus on permanence and accountability in Government and as a result budgets are tightening. In this environment, resource commitments require greater justification and leaders are held more accountable for driving performance and delivering outcomes. Against this backdrop of performance and accountability, there are the ongoing operational and organisational challenges of change. A strategic approach to leadership is needed to support your team while still facing larger external challenges. Strategic management is crucial when operating within a turbulent political environment . Innovative thinking, calculated decision-making and accountable leadership encourages the replication of these behaviours throughout your team. Case studies and insightful expert insights will provide existing and aspiring leaders with practical strategies, key skills and networking opportunities to maximise their potential.
