CAREER OPPORTUNITY POSITION: Director Corporate Services (Permanent, Full-time) LOCATION: Midhurst, Ontario REPORTS TO: Chief Executive Officer POSITION SUMMARY The Director Corporate Services is a key member of the Senior Management team contributing to and implementing the strategic directions of the organization through the direction and management of Financial Services, Data Management, Human Resources and Risk Mitigation. The role assumes the procurement, oversight, and control of several external contracts. The incumbent contributes to the long-term planning for sustainability through change management and participatory team-building. The successful applicant requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and report on several types of income and expenses to different reporting structures. Attention to detail, financial analysis and ROI reporting is key to advising the CEO and management team to help in developing strategies for maximizing revenue, meeting community-investment obligations and managing organizational cash flow.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS Required Professional Designation(s) / Expertise  CPA required, information technology management, human resources management, risk management  Nonprofit or charitable experience, supporting a volunteer Board of Directors/Finance and Audit Committee Required Skills / Minimum Qualifications  Strong knowledge of, and financial management experience in, the charitable sector; accounting, treatment and reporting for charitable donations, pledges, sponsorships in compliance with all required regulatory requirements, management of multiple budgets, grant accounting and management of accounting system  Participative management, ability to lead, coach and manage people to create strong teams  Ability to analyze situations; solutions-focused; decision-oriented  Financial analysis, forecasting, managing cash flow, preparing and monitoring budgets  Information technology; planning, supporting implementation and managing of enterprise information systems to support the business model  Risk planning; identification, mitigation, management  A valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle is required Core Competencies  Organizational: Entrepreneurial and Strategic  Behavioural: Collaborative; Professional; Client/Team Focus  Job specific: Technical; Analytical; Accountable; Solution-focused  Personal Accountability: Ethical; Resilient; Inclusive; Confidential; Discreet

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Financial Services  Provide strategic financial advice, insight and analysis to the CEO, senior management team, Board of Directors, and Finance and Audit Committee (FAC)  Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports to various regulatory and contracted bodies, including appropriate analysis and recommendations  Liaise with external auditors and the FAC on the annual audit process and implement any changes required  Administer and oversee all financial plans, contracts, claims and investments as required  Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting Data Management  Overall leadership and implementation of information technology systems to ensure 24/7 operational capacity  Strategic and operational oversight of all management information systems as well as ensuring linkage and integration of systems, telecommunications and related technology  Engage and manage external IT contractors Human Resources  Maintain UWSM employee benefits program  Manage HR Partner contract for provision of services related to human resource function  Maintain all HR records; issue contracts and related employee documents  Maintain/implement HR policies and procedures in keeping with best practices and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Management and Supervision  Supervise finance staff  Manage contracted services  Tender RFPs for contracted services and manage process to hire vendors  Serve on UWSM’s Management Team  Serve on UWSM Finance and Audit Committee To apply for this opportunity, please submit a cover letter and résumé to [email protected].
