DISTRICT COURT OF QUEENSLAND SUMMER 2017/2018 ARRANGEMENTS IN APPLICATIONS, CRIME AND P&E The following arrangements will commence at 4pm on Friday, 22 December 2017 and conclude on Monday, 29 January 2018. 1. The vacation Judge available to hear urgent applications in both criminal and civil jurisdictions from 4pm Friday, 22 December 2017 to 4pm Friday, 29 December 2017 will be Judge Martin SC. From 4pm Friday, 29 December 2017 until 4pm Friday, 5 January 2018 Judge Koppenol will hear urgent applications in both criminal and civil jurisdictions. From 4pm Friday, 5 January 2018 until 4pm, Friday 12 January 2018, Judge Richards will sit in the criminal jurisdiction and hear urgent applications in both criminal and civil jurisdictions. From 4pm Friday, 12 January 2018 to 4pm Friday, 19 January 2018, Judge Ryrie will sit in the applications jurisdiction. From 4pm Friday, 19 January 2018 to 4pm Friday, 26 January 2018, Judge Koppenol will sit in the applications jurisdiction. From 4pm Friday, 26 January 2018 Judge Andrews SC and Judge Rosengren will sit in the applications jurisdiction. 2. In the week commencing 15 January 2018 Judge Richards, Judge Clare SC and Judge Reid will sit in the criminal jurisdiction and Judge Kefford in the civil jurisdiction. 3. In the week commencing 22 January 2018 the Chief Judge, Judge Richards, Judge Dearden, Judge Clare SC, Judge Devereaux SC, Judge Reid and Judge Kefford will sit in the criminal jurisdiction, Judge McGill SC in the civil jurisdiction and Judge Rackemann in the planning and environment jurisdiction. 4. Unless special arrangements are made in advance with the approval of a judge, Auscript staff will not be available for transcribing outside normal Court hours.
