  Applicant must be a senior in high school and must have participated in a DIXIE YOUTH BASEBALL program when twelve  years old or younger. Applicant’s ability as an athlete will not be a factor in awarding scholarships.   Please be aware – NCAA rules  may prohibit acceptance of this scholarship if a student will be participating in an athletic program in college.

ALL the below required documents must be enclosed for an application to be considered complete.   

Only completed applications will be considered.    Do not send any materials other than the required items listed          Do not fold or use staples   

 

1.  Signed Statement from a Dixie Youth local league official verifying the years the Applicant participated in a DIXIE  YOUTH BASEBALL (years 12 and under) franchised league (contact the league where applicant played).   

 

 

 

2.  Photo for Publication (IMPORTANT ‐ head & shoulders facing forward – no caps or bats, etc. – plain background)

Note: If an acceptable photo is not sent either by mail or email, your application will not be considered for the scholarship award.   

   

3.  ACT Score and/or SAT Score; Current Class Size and Rank (Example: Number 5 of 189); Grade Point Average               ALL of #3 must be sent on School letterhead and signed by a school official (principal or counselor)

4.  Letter from the applicant stating desire for such aid; any jobs held; extra‐curricular activities; any other information                xx   that may assist the Scholarship Committee in evaluating the application – one page only.   

5.  Letter from parent or guardian outlining financial need and family circumstances – one page only.   

The applicant is responsible for submitting all documents in 1‐5 above.  Your application will NOT be considered if ALL  documents are not received.  This is a one‐time award of a $2,000 Scholarship made payable to the school of the winner’s  choice. A minimum of 80 scholarships will be awarded.  Follow the instructions to make sure your application is complete.
