AIDS Services of Austin will be testing at Walgreens, located at 1920 East Riverside Drive in Austin from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26 and 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27. To learn more about this event, e-mail Stephanie Guerra or call her at 512-406-6416.
C.A.R.E. is hosting a pair of events in observance of National HIV Testing Day: Friday, June 26: C.A.R.E. is hosting a party for consumers, staff and the community at their headquarters in the East 2nd Street Clinic. 1631-E East 2nd Street in Austin from 12:00 noon to 3:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for people in the community to learn about C.A.R.E. services and meet staff. HIV testing will also be available at the event. Saturday, June 27: C.A.R.E. outreach staff will provide community HIV testing at Bout Time II, 6607 North IH 35 in Austin From 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. To learn more, e-mail Emily Johnston.
The Q Austin (Austin’s Mpowerment Project), located at 2906 Medical Arts in Austin, will have extended testing hours on Friday, June 26 from 1:00 – 9:00 p.m.
