DOMINICAN REPUBLIC

The International Hawkeye Service Team program is a service-learning based experience open to students from all majors. Students will spend 18 days (May 15 – June 2) in the Dominican Republic engaging in service activities, visiting local government offices, nonprofits, and organizations already working in the community. The 2018 program will focus on education and eco-tourism, with opportunities to learn about other fields of interest such a business, public health, youth development/recreation, and agriculture. No previous experience is required. Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend all University of Iowa-sponsored events. If you are a person with a disability who requires a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this program, please contact Amy Bowes in advance at [email protected] or 319 335-0353.
