Bauman College’s Donna Kellogg Scholarship Information “Donna Kellogg could brighten a room just by walking into it.” As a Nutrition Consultant student at Bauman College, Donna Kellogg dreamt of using her education to help those most in need and provide care to marginalized populations. Sadly, Donna passed away in the Oakland Ghost Ship fire on December 2, 2016. Collections to provide financial relief for her family began immediately. In an effort to support those who share Donna’s dream and deep love of helping others, her parents made the decision to generously donate those funds to Bauman College to set up a scholarship in her name. Bauman College is honored to announce the Donna Kellogg Scholarship offered for our Fall 2017 term. Three $3,300 scholarships will be awarded to Nutrition Consultant Training Program applicants who intend to use their education to develop or support a public benefit program, which focuses on rehabilitation, recovery, and/or education; and targets marginalized and/or at-risk populations (e.g., veterans, low income, homeless, disadvantaged youth). Applicants must be residents of the United States. Financial Considerations The scholarship will cover approximately 30% of the cost of the classroom-based Nutrition Consultant Training Program, which begins in September 2017 at both Berkeley and Penngrove, CA, locations. The scholarship will cover approximately 40% of the Distance Learning Nutrition Consultant Training Program, which begins on November 1, 2017. Applicants must be prepared to pay the remaining tuition in full or through a monthly payment plan. The monthly payment plan finance fees will be waived for scholarship recipients. In case of cancellation, any refund will be made based on enrollee’s payments and will not include any portion of scholarship monies awarded. Participants will be expected to make the following payments, depending upon location and program chosen: ● ● ●
