Slow Down! What is the ad or email asking and what is the urgency? It’s easier to spot anomalies if you take your time.



Be Skeptical! Read every email with a bit of skepticism…even from your boss. If it looks like someone you know but is out of context, contact the sender to confirm.



Look CLOSER! Examine the email address for any typos, errors, aliases. Scroll over links without clicking. Does it go to the expected link or redirect somewhere else?



JUST SAY NO! Any online ads that look amazing, just don’t click on them. Ever. If you are interested in the item or offer, google it later from home. If the deal exists on a reputable, known site, it’s probably more legitimate than the ad.

Don’t Click It…Send A Ticket! If you’re unsure about an email, ad, or anything else that looks out of place, take a screenshot and send it in a help ticket to your IT person.
