Keep track of your professional development activities and log them in your SHRM Certification Portal
Submit your completed recertification application as early as one year into your recertification cycle
Pay the recertification application fee
Log on to portal.shrm.org. You will need to enter your SHRM login e-mail address and password.
If you complete your recertification cycle early, your current cycle end date will not change—and the next/new cycle will not begin any sooner.

Click “Add PDCs” and choose the appropriate category and input the Activity ID (if one was provided).
Earn extra PDCs to be safe but note that unused or subsequent qualifying activities completed within your current recertification cycle cannot be carried over to the next/new cycle.
Click “Search” and view the populated activity details, then click “Confirm,” then ”Submit” to save.
