Apply online through the Office of Admissions website (http://admissions.ewha.ac.kr) When submitting online application, applicants should apply for scholarship as well.

* The field of clinical medicine (other than basic medicine) is open to candidates who graduated from the college of medicine(undergraduate) only. * The

dentistry(undergraduate) only. * The field of basic medicine is open to all the candidates even if the candidate did not graduate from the college of medicine(undergraduate). *

Medical

Science

field

is

a

full

time

department

for

applicant

who

did

not

graduate

from

undergraduate-medicine major(including medical school) and Basic medicine in Medicine field(from Anatomy to Medical Ethics in Medicine field’s specialization) is for all applicants regardless of their previous academic background. * There is a difference between the tuition fee of Medicine and of Medical Science.

03. Number of Students to be Admitted There is no exact quota for the number of international students to be admitted. Candida tes are selected upon review of their academic ability, through a special admission proce ss for foreign students.

04. Eligibility to Apply Eligible to apply when international applicants satisfy all of the following requirements 1. Nationality: Female foreign nationals whose both parents have foreign nationality ※ Korean citizens(including dual citizenship of applicant and both parents) will not be considered eligible for admission. ※ Korean who obtained foreign nationality(applicant and both parents) are eligible only if she and her parents obtained their foreign nationality before entering her secondary school(Grade 10). (Only applicable to undergraduate applicants)

2. Education: Applicants must meet the following academic criteria. Programs Under Graduate Program Graduate Program

Prerequisites

Freshmen

Applicant must have acquired high school diploma before September 2018.

Transfer

Applicant must have completed at least 2 years in a university education program before September 2018, and intend to transfer into the third year.

Master’s, Combined Master’s and Doctorate Doctorate

Applicant must have completed a four-year university program or university-equivalent courses and acquired Bachelor’s degree before September 2018. Applicant must have completed a post-graduate program and acquired Master’s degree before September 2018.

※ Exception will be made if the country’s interdisciplinary academic year and the first day of school are later than those of Korea’s by one month or less. ※ GED, home schooling, cyber schooling or other high school equivalency certificates are not considered as high school diploma.

3. Language Proficiency Requirement: Applicants must meet one of the following language require ments. A. The certificate of Level 3 or above in Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) for undergraduate

freshmen application, and of Level 4 or above for undergraduate transfer or graduate application. ※ Test of Proficiency in Korean(TOPIK) is recognized only if the transcript is submitted by the application deadline. However, those who take the 57th TOPIK(April 14~15, 2018) or the 58th TOPIK(May 19~20, 2018)(should submit the test identification first when applying) can be considered to fulfill their language requirement and be accepted conditionally. Those who are accepted conditionally should submit the final transcript by the designated date(To be announced). If one fails to submit the final transcript or meet the above language requirements, the conditional acceptance will be cancelled.

B. Completing Level 4 or above of Korean Language Intensive program in Ewha Language Center ※ The completion of Korean Language Intensive program will be recognized only if the certification is submitted by the application deadline. However, those who are still taking course level 4 during the application period (the certificate of attendance should be submitted first when applying) can be considered to fulfill their language requirement conditionally. Those who are accepted conditionally should submit the certificate of completion as soon as the program is completed. If one fails to submit the certificate of completion or complete the course, the acceptance will be cancelled.

C. The following minimum English proficiency test scores: TOEFL(PBT 550, iBT 80), IELTs 5.5, TEPS 550 ※ English Proficiency Test(TOEFL, IELTS, TEPS) Scores should be submitted before the application deadline. Or your English proficiency will not be recognized. ※ Undergraduate freshmen or Undergraduate transfer applicants who satisfy the qualification with English proficiency can only be admitted to departments or majors whose degree programs are conducted in English. But an applicant who applies for academic programs other than that, can be admitted only if the applicant obtains TOPIK level3 within a year after admission and TOPIK lever 4 before the graduation.

D. High school diploma or bachelor’s degree from Korean or English speaking institutions ※ Applicants who graduated from Korean or English speaking institutions should submit the certification certifying that the classes were conducted in Korean or English when applying.

E. Notice for Admitted Students All Admitted students will go through a registration process. At each stage, the individual student will receive specific information via e-mail. Thus students should specify the e-mail address correctly when writing the application form.

2. Obtaining Medical Insurance and Submission of Insurance Certificate A. All admitted international students must obtain medical insurance. B. Applicants who already have insurance should submit the insurance certificate during the specified period (in the middle of August). C. If the applicants do not obtain the medical insurance, issuance of the Certificate of Admission may be limited. ※ International students have to maintain medical insurance during the period of attendance. If the students do not maintain the medical insurance during the period of attendance, issuance of proof of enrollment may be withheld. 3. Tuition Payment A. Admitted students who are planning to register, must pay for the tuition fee during the sp ecified period (in the middle of August) to the designated bank. B. Students receiving admissions from more than two universities in Korea, must choose only one university. If the students violate this rule, their admission offer will be revoked. 4. Submission of Additional Documents for Admitted Students A. Applicant who is accepted conditionally should submit their TOPIK result or Certificate of C ompletion (Korean Intensive program Level 4) from Ewha Language Center during the speci fied period(To Be Announced). If one fails to submit the certificate or the result doesn’t m eet our language requirements, the acceptance will be cancelled. B. Concerning the certificates (including transcripts, diplomas, etc.) given by foreign institution s, students must submit the “Confirmation documents from a foreign educational institute”, or “Confirmation document from consulate or embassy” which are certified and verified by the Korean Embassy where the institution is located by the middle of August.
