GUIDELINES 1. Who is qualified to enter? One of these criteria needs to be met:

a. Any professional architect, designer, builder or contractor who lives or has an office in Maryland or Washington, D.C.

b. A professional may live or have an office outside this territory if he or she has been the primary designer or contractor of a completed project located in Anne Arundel County, Queen Anne’s County or Talbot County.

2. Project must be completed at the time of submission. The project must have been completed after January 1, 2013. 3. Project may have been awarded other industry prizes and may have been previously published. 4. If your project fits several categories, select the best category where your work will shine. The judges will have the discretion to consider the project in another category. 5. 5-12 professional, high-resolution photos (300 dpi) for each submission. For remodel project, you must include at least one “before” photograph.

We highly recommend that you enlist a professional photographer. If you do, make certain that you have written permission from the photographer for Annapolis Home Magazine, c/o Taylor-Haywood Media to publish the photographs. You need to submit a copy of the photographer’s signed permission form if you are a winner.

If you need help locating a professional photographer in the area, contact Robert Haywood at [email protected].

Because these awards involve blind judging, a photograph cannot identify the professional’s name or company.

6. Grand Prizes will be awarded, as well as one or more Design Excellence awards for each category. The judges reserve the right not to award a prize for a specific category and to consider a project in a different category. Grand prizes will be featured in a special Awards issue of Annapolis Home Magazine. All award winners will be included in this special issue. 7. Any questions will be resolved by the publishers. Publishers’ decisions are final. 8. Entry Fee: $200 for first entry, $150 for second, and $100 for third. Three entries maximum.
