General Statistics for 2010: • 2,809 clients in residential care — Around the clock care provided for those most vulnerable and at-risk including homeless, delinquent youth, dependent youth, foster care, and developmentally delayed • 26,555 individuals assisted through casework management or referral • 149,983 meals served at homeless shelters and senior centers • 4,055 children supported in academic day programs • 21,755 parents received aid with baby items from family service centers • 6,536 households received utility, mortgage, or rent support • 5,193 volunteers contributed 85,595 hours of service
NDS assists 26 parishes, 207 schools, 260 religious education programs, and various community organizations throughout the five counties of the Philadelphia area who want to help us in our mission of feeding the hungry. • School Programs: 125 schools provided with meals (Catholic, charter, private, and CSS residential child care programs) • Community Food Programs: 30 food cupboards at parishes, CSS Family Service Centers, & community-based centers • Community Programs: 440 summer programs, 65 child care centers and shelters, 160 community after-school programs
