RULES & CONDITIONS British Riding Club Rules Apply The Gate Riding Club and / or the organising committee cannot be held responsible for any accident, damage, injury or illness to horses, ponies, riders, owners, grooms, ground spectators or any other person or property whatsoever other than the liability for a refund of entry fee in the event of abandonment of the competition. The organisers of this event have taken all responsible precautions to ensure Health & Safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective everyone must take all responsible precautions to avoid accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organiser and all officials and stewards. 1 All persons on the showground must comply with the safety advice and directions given by Club officials and displayed on safety notices 2 All riders when riding, whether competing or not, must wear hard hats that are up to UK current standards with a strap properly adjusted and fastened. insurance will be void if standards are not met. See BRC Hat Guidelines for compliance 3 Appropriate protective clothing, including footwear must be worn by all persons on the showground when mounted or handling a horse 4 Entries accepted at rider’s risk. 5 The organisers reserve the right to refuse an entry at their discretion, cancel, amend or amalgamate any class for any reason whatsoever. 6 The organiser’s/Judges decision is final. 7 Only riders entered to compete in the show may use the practice ring and must jump the practice fence in the direction indicated with the red wing on the right hand wing. When jumping a practice fence the height of the fence must be within accordance with the height of the fences in the ring at the time. Grooms and owners are not eligible to use this facility. 8 A fall of the rider will result in elimination from the class. Such dismounted riders should not remount whilst in the ring or dressage arena. 9 Competitors should be mounted on suitably sized ponies or horses. Should a judge or show official be concerned that a rider is under or over-horsed they will be requested to withdraw in the interests of safety or animal cruelty 10 Stallion and Colts must be correctly bitted and handlers to be over 16 years of age. 11 Any Objections or complaints must be made to the secretary in writing with a £20.00 Deposit within 30 minutes of the incident happening 12 Show jumping Classes will be judged under BS rules with exception of the Gate Riding Club Rules 12 Dogs must be on a lead at all times 13 All annual Trophies must be returned in clean condition no later than the last show of the season 14 competitors are to have their own third party liability insurance

H.O.P.E.'S BEST OF THE BEST SUPREME NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL QUALIFIER 2018 The final to be held at HOPE’s Supreme show, Onley Ground E.C. Rugby, Warks on Aug 19th 2018 All in hand and ridden champions qualify .If the champion has already qualified the reserve will qualify. If the champion and reserve have qualified the 1st res will qualify . N.B if no ridden championship takes place then first place will qualify .
