Dairy Farm Improvements Anti-Pathogen, Antiseptic, disinfectant, Deodorising Farmer comments: To whom it may concern: Re ‘RainMaker’ plasma activated water treatment units installed into our dairy system which includes 30,000ltr wash down tank, 60,000ltr shed, stock water, house tanks, 800,000ltr effluent storage tank. Observations I have made since RainMaker units have been installed include: -

Cows detoxing i.e. coats went greasy and slippery and worms came out in their poo. Shiny coated healthy cows. Less green slime on concrete in cowshed. No fly problem in cowshed. Reduced effluent smell. Very clean troughs with no manual cleaning now required. Animal health bill has been substantially reduced.

Overall its been a very good investment to our farm operation in Rai Valley Marlborough. Malcolm Berkett Owner/operator Dairy farm Supplier report on Farm 3 at Rai Valley Marlborough. Footnote: In discussions regarding bacteria at the dairy milking shed, the smell pervading the area, and the blowfly problem. We decided to first treat the effluent pond. We installed a ‘RainMaker’ unit with its pontoon float device on the effluent pond and powered it with an isolated 24 Volt supply from the pump shed 230Vac socket. Three days later the smell from the pond had virtually disappeared, the flotsam on the surface was gone. On the crest of our success we decided to treat all the water at the site. This included the wash-down water and the stock water in separate tanks beside the milking shed. The wash-down collection sump was a significant source of smell although it emanated from the milking area also to a lesser degree. When the wind was in the South a significant smell was apparent in the car park and driveway entrance. Tank mount ‘RainMaker’ units were installed. These intrude into the lower portion of the tank to allow contact with the water at all times. Three days later the smell was reduced significantly to the point where it was gone from the adjacent car park. Consciousness of the smell was virtuously eliminated and the other noticeable difference was the absence of blow flies. Progressively the good reports followed, first the detox and worm rejection. The continued reduction in smell and lack of blow flies, and later the cleanliness of the floors and troughs. And now the crowning report – Reduced animal health issues and attendant costs. Contact:
