TEA Identified Title I Focus School

ROLE AND PURPOSE: Effectively interpret formative and summative data, communicate results, problem solve and work collaboratively to make significantly impact on instructional practices and student achievement in TEA identified Title I Focus Schools. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification:  Master’s Degree from accredited institution  Administrator’s Certificate issued by Texas Education Agency Experience:  Three years of successful teaching experience SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:  Ability to accurately and appropriately analyze and interpret assessment results for the purpose of designing and modifying instruction  Ability to engage staff in intensive data analysis and results planning  Ability to implementation programs and development curriculum  Ability to model a variety of rigorous instructional strategies  Establishes and maintains productive, collaborative relationships with others.  Ability to creates an environment where children from diverse backgrounds are comfortable and experience success. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: A. INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT A. Assist in conducting a comprehensive needs assessment through analysis of disaggregated student performance data, demographic data, and other pertinent indicators. B. Assist in conducting both formative and summative evaluation of the effectiveness of the Campus Improvement Plan. C. Collaborate with the principal and other school and district personnel to identify, evaluate, and implement research-based curricular materials and instructional methods that support the required strategies of the required state and district academic standards. D. Assist schools in strengthening instructional programs through a strategically planned, standards-based approach with a focus on narrowing achievement gaps. E. Provide direction to a variety of faculty, staff, and student programs and services. B. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE A. Consults and collaborates effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns and needs. B. Articulate the school’s mission and campus improvement plan to the community and solicit their support in achieving the goals of the campus. C. Demonstrate awareness of school/community needs and initiate activities to meet those identified needs. D. Encourage positive parent and community involvement. C. SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. Collaborate with the principal and other school and district personnel to plan and implement professional training for teachers, aides, administrators, pupil services personnel, parents, and other community audiences. B. Assist with federal and state Title I program evaluations.

D. ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT A. Provides direction to a variety of faculty, staff, and student programs and services.

Participate in informal classroom visitations and observations; provides recommendations, suggestions and strategies for improvement as appropriate.

E. STUDENT MANAGEMENT A. Assists all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals and plans. B. Monitors student academic performance, behavior and attendance and assists with appropriate interventions. C.
