Life in the United Arab Emirates The United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) is a country with a lot of material wealth. It makes a great deal of money from oil. Sadly, almost none of its people have the only wealth that will last, the wealth of God’s love in their hearts and the joy of knowing God. Most of the Christians in the United Arab Emirates are people who are guest workers, people from other countries who are living in the U.A.E. because of the jobs they have. Some work in the oil business. Others are doctors or nurses. Christian guest workers are allowed to meet together to worship God, as long as there is no one with them from the U.A.E. Any sharing about God and his Son, Jesus, with someone who is native to the U.A.E. is against the law. A guest worker can be imprisoned or sent back to his own country if he is caught. Imagine you are a doctor or a nurse at a hospital. There is someone you want to tell about Jesus, but that person is a native of the U.A.E. What do you do?
