SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD: The Sweepstakes begins on August 1, 2017 at 12:00:00 PM (noon) Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on September 4, 2017 at 11:59:59 PM ET (“Sweepstakes Period”). The Sweepstakes consists of thirty-five (35) separate daily entry periods (each, an “Entry Period”), one (1) for each calendar day during the Sweepstakes. For purposes of these Official Rules, a “day” is defined as starting at 12:00 AM ET and ending at 11:59:59 PM ET on a calendar day, with the exception of August 1, 2017, when a day is defined as starting at 12:00 PM (noon) ET and ending at 11:59:59 PM ET. All eligible entries received in all Entry Periods will be entered into a drawing for the Grand Prizes (as further described in Section 6). Administrator’s computer is the official clock of the Sweepstakes. 2. ELIGIBILITY: This Sweepstakes is offered only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years and older at the time of entry. Employees of Sponsor, Administrator, and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliates, distributors, and companies involved in the implementation and execution of the Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes Entities”) and each of their respective immediate family members (i.e., spouse, parent, child, sibling and the “steps” of each) and persons living in the same household of each are not eligible to participate in the Sweepstakes. By participating in this Sweepstakes, an entrant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and that the decisions of Sponsor shall be final and binding in all matters pertaining to the Sweepstakes. HOW TO ENTER THE SWEEPSTAKES: During an Entry Period, an entrant must visit dremelmakerdays.com (“Website”), click on the “Enter Now” button, and submit his/her valid e-mail address. The entrant must then enter the requested registration information, which may include, but is not limited to, his/her complete first and last name (no initials), full mailing address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, ZIP Code, date of birth, and confirmation that he/she has read and agrees to these Official Rules. After registering for the Sweepstakes, the entrant will receive one (1) entry into the active Entry Period and one (1) entry into the Grand Prize drawing. Every day thereafter, the entrant may return to the Website and submit his/her valid e-mail address to obtain an entry into that day’s Entry Period and an entry into the Grand Prize drawing. In addition to the entry method described above, an entrant may obtain bonus entries into the Grand Prize drawing using the following methods:
A. Watch a Video: An entrant may obtain one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry into the Grand Prize drawing during the entire Sweepstakes Period by watching a video posted to the Website (“Video”). B. Social Sharing: An entrant may obtain up to ten (10) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize drawing during the entire Sweepstakes, five (5) for Facebook and five (5) for Twitter, by following the links at the Website to share the Sweepstakes on Facebook and/or Twitter. Upon clicking the buttons to share the Sweepstakes, a message with a unique link will be posted to the entrant’s choice of his/her Facebook Wall or Twitter Feed (“Invitation Post”). To obtain a bonus Sweepstakes entry, an entrant’s Facebook “Friend” or Twitter follower must click on the unique link in the Invitation Post and complete and submit the registration information requested and enter the Sweepstakes. Upon the Friend’s/follower’s successful entry into the Sweepstakes, the original entrant will receive one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry. An entrant will receive one (1) bonus Sweepstakes entry for each Friend/follower who enters the Sweepstakes by following the unique link in his/her Invitation Post, up to maximum of ten (10) Bonus entries, five (5) via Facebook and five (5) via Twitter. The Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Twitter or Facebook and neither Twitter nor Facebook has any responsibility or liability regarding the conduct or administration of the Sweepstakes or prizes. Entrants agree to release Twitter and Facebook from any and all liability associated with this Sweepstakes C. Submit a Dremel Purchase Receipt: An entrant may obtain four (4) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize drawing by uploading a Dremel purchase receipt during the Sweepstakes Period (“Purchase Entry”). An entrant may submit up to six (6) receipt uploads, for up to twenty-four (24) total bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize drawing during the entire Sweepstakes by following the on-screen instructions to upload an image of his/her original register receipt showing the purchase(s) of any Dremel product(s) during the Sweepstakes Period. The entrant must circle the Dremel purchase(s) on the receipt and sign and date the receipt prior to uploading to the Website. Register receipt images must be in one (1) of the following file formats: .JPG, .JPEG, .PNG, .GIF, and may not exceed 8 MB. Each receipt submitted must be unique. An entrant may not submit the same receipt multiple times (even if more than one (1) Dremel product purchase is included in the transaction) for additional entries. Sponsor may request the entrant send in his/her original register receipt and Dremel product proof of purchase. All receipts are subject to review and verification by Sponsor in its sole discretion. Free Method of Entry: Alternatively, to obtain bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize drawing without making a Purchase, an entrant may hand-write his/her complete name (no initials), the same information used to register for the Sweepstakes, including the same valid e-mail address street address (P.O. Boxes not accepted), city, state, ZIP Code, and telephone number, on a 3½”x5” card (“Mail-In Entry”) and mail it with sufficient postage to: Dremel Maker Days Sweepstakes – Purchase Entry AMOE, P.O. Box 251328, West Bloomfield, MI 48325. All Mail-In Entries must be postmarked no later than September 4, 2017 and received on or before September 14, 2017, in order to be eligible. will not be accepted. Mail-In Entries received without a verifiable and legible return address will be deemed incomplete and not valid entries. An entrant may complete/send a total of six (6) Purchase Entries and/or six (6) Mail-In Entries combined during the entire Sweepstakes Period. Each Purchase Entry is based on the receipt uploaded, regardless of the total number of Dremel products purchased in the transaction. Note that the entrant does not need to own a Dremel tool in order to submit a photo of his/her creation) not to exceed 8 MB (“Photo”). The Photo file must be in .JPEG, .JPG, .GIF, or .PNG. The Description and Photo are collectively referred to as a “Photo Entry”. An entrant will obtain three (3) bonus Sweepstakes entries into the Grand Prize drawing for each approved Photo Entry, regardless of the quality of the Dremel creation. An entrant may submit up to eight (8) Photo Entries during the entire Sweepstakes Period, provided each Photo Entry is unique. An entrant may not submit the same Photo Entry repeatedly to obtain additional bonus Sweepstakes entries. By submitting a Photo Entry, each entrant agrees that his or her Photo Entry conforms to the Photo Entry guidelines and restrictions set forth below (“Photo Entry Requirements”). Submitting a Photo Entry constitutes entrant’s grant to Sponsor, its parents and affiliates, and the employees, officers, directors, licensees, designees, agents, successors and assigns (collectively, “Grantees”), of a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, nonexclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, post, distribute, publish or create derivative works from and display the Photo Entry in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including for promotional, advertising, public relations, trade show and/or marketing purposes, without further compensation, notification or permissions of any kind except where prohibited by law. If requested, entrant will sign any documentation that may be required for Sponsor or its designees to make use of the nonexclusive rights entrant is granting to use the Photo Entry. This license expressly includes a right (but not the obligation) for Sponsor to modify Photo Entries to remove any third party intellectual property. Sponsor shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to edit, composite, morph, scan, duplicate, or alter the Photo Entry for any purpose which Sponsor deems necessary or desirable, and each entrant irrevocably waives any and all so-called moral rights they may have therein. Each entrant hereby acknowledges that such entrant does not reserve any rights in or to the Photo Entry. The displaying of a Photo Entry on any website/social media platform does not constitute verification of eligibility or compliance with these Official Rules and all Photo Entries and entrants remain subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules as determined by Sponsor at its sole discretion. gallery on the Website, and posting of a Photo Entry in the gallery does not indicate a Photo Entry’s eligibility. Entrants agree that Sponsor has the right, but not the obligation, to use and/or otherwise display the Photo Entries as set forth above, and that if such Photo Entries are, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, displayed on any website/social media platform, such Photo Entries may be subject to third party comments that will be publicly viewable, and further, such Photo Entries may also be saved, shared, and/or further e-mailed by such third parties on the internet or otherwise. Photo Entry Guidelines and Restrictions: Each Photo Entry:
Must be submitted during an Entry Period; Must be the entrant’s original work; Must be created solely by the entrant, and may not be plagiarized, have been previously published, or have previously won a prize or award; Must be in English, except for commonly understood foreign words; Must include a Description not to exceed 1,000 characters; Must include a Photo in .JPEG, .JPG, .GIF, or .PNG format and may not exceed 8 MB; Must follow the instructions and comply with these Official Rules; Must not have been submitted previously in a promotion of any kind or exhibited or displayed publicly through any means; Must have permission from any individual identifiable in any Photo besides the entrant, or must not include any identifiable individual besides the entrant. Entrant must be able to provide written proof of permission from any identifiable individual upon Sponsor’s request. If any such person is a minor the entrant must be his/her parent/legal guardian; Must not disparage Sponsor, Administrator, or any other person or party affiliated with the promotion and administration of this Sweepstakes; Must not contain material that violates or infringes another's rights, including, but not limited to, privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, including copyright infringement (including, but not limited to logos (manufacturer or carrier), trade names, or patented features). Sponsor may, in its sole and absolute discretion, blur any item that violates the foregoing and enter the Photo Entry; Must not include any third party logos or marks. Sponsor may, in its sole and absolute discretion, blur any item that violates the foregoing and enter the Photo Entry; Must not include personally identifiable information, including but not limited to phone numbers or e-mail addresses; Must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, lewd, pornographic, obscene, hateful, violent, tortious, defamatory, slanderous or libelous (as determined by Sponsor at Sponsor’s sole discretion); Must not contain, facilitate, reference, or use material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, political orientation, citizenship, ancestry, marital status, or age (as determined by Sponsor at Sponsor’s sole discretion); Must not contain any express or implied commercial endorsement; Must not contain, facilitate, reference, or use material that promotes illegal drug use, alcohol abuse, or other illegal activity; Must not contain material or statements that promote use of alcohol by minors, illegal 4
drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous, or any particular political agenda or message; Must not contain any viruses, spyware, malware, or other malicious components that are designed to harm the functionality of a computer in any way; and Must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any jurisdiction where the Photo Entry is created.
NOTE: By submitting a Photo Entry, each entrant agrees that his/her Photo Entry conforms to the Photo Entry Guidelines and Restrictions set forth above and that Sponsor or Administrator may, at its sole and absolute discretion, disqualify him/her from the Sweepstakes if Sponsor decides that his/her Photo Entry fails to conform to the such requirements or any other provision of these Official Rules. Entry Limit: Each entrant may submit only one (1) entry during each Entry Period. An entrant may receive up to ninety-four (94) total entries into the Grand Prize drawing – only one (1) entry per day using the entry method set forth above, plus up to fifty nine (59) bonus Sweepstakes entries using the combined bonus Sweepstakes entry methods described above. If it is discovered or suspected, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, that an entrant has registered or attempted to register for the Sweepstakes using multiple e-mail addresses or identities, or if an entrant enters or attempts to receive more entries than are set forth in these Official Rules, all of that entrant’s entries, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, may be declared null and void and any prize he/she might have been entitled to will not be awarded to him/her. Prize Conditions: In no event will more prizes than are stated in these Official Rules be awarded. If, for any reason, more prize notifications are sent (or more claims are received), Sponsor reserves the right to award the intended number of prizes in a random drawing from among all prize claims received. Limit of one (1) Daily Prize and one (1) Grand Prize per person/household for the entire Sweepstakes. An entrant may win both a Daily Prize and a Grand Prize. The right to receive a prize is non-assignable and non-transferable and no prize substitution, exchange, or cash equivalent will be allowed, except by Sponsor who reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in case of unavailability of prize or force majeure. HOW TO CLAIM A PRIZE: Each potential winner is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules. Before being declared a verified Grand Prize Winner, each potential Grand Prize Winner must complete, sign, and return a notarized Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability & Publicity Release and a tax acknowledgement form (collectively, the “Affidavit”) within five (5) calendar days from the date it is postmarked as being e-mailed to the potential winner by the Administrator. If any potential winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules or declines to accept his/her prize, Administrator is unable to contact the potential winner, or the prize notification or any prize component is returned undeliverable, the prize will be forfeited, and in the Sponsor's sole discretion, the forfeited prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. If the Sponsor wishes to select an alternative potential winner, it will select this alternative potential winner at random from the pool of remaining eligible Entries received for the applicable Entry Period. Notice of such cancelation, termination, or modification of the Sweepstakes shall be posted at the Website. This Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, threatened or actual terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot or other cause beyond any of the Released Parties’ control, or as otherwise permitted in these Official Rules; (f) any interruptions in or postponement, cancellation or modification of the Sweepstakes; (g) human error; (h) incorrect or inaccurate transcription, receipt or transmission of an entry; (i) any technical malfunctions or unavailability of any social media platform or any telephone network, computer system, computer online system, mobile device, computer timing and/or dating mechanism, computer equipment, software, or Internet service provider, or mail service utilized by any of the Released Parties or by an entrant; and (j) interruption or inability to access the Sweepstakes, or any other Sweepstakes-related websites or any online service via the Internet due to hardware or software compatibility problems. PUBLICITY RIGHTS: By participating in the Sweepstakes and/or accepting a prize, each entrant agrees to allow Sponsor and/or Sponsor’s designee the perpetual right to use his or her name, biographical information, photos and/or likeness, and statements for Sweepstakes, trade, commercial, advertising and publicity purposes, at any time or times, in all media now known or hereafter discovered, including live television, worldwide, including but not limited to on the World Wide Web and Internet, without notice, review or approval and without additional compensation except where prohibited by law. 11. GENERAL: Any attempted form of participation in this Sweepstakes other than as described herein is void. If it is discovered or suspected at Sponsor’s sole discretion that an entrant has entered or attempted to enter more than once using multiple social media handles, multiple e-mail addresses, multiple identities, proxy servers or like methods, all of that entrant’s entries will be declared null and void, and that entrant may be ineligible to win a prize. Also, if it is discovered that any entrant attempts to receive additional entries in excess of the stated limitation, that entrant will, at Sponsor’s sole discretion, be disqualified from the Sweepstakes.
