We have completed over 400,000 sq ft of lettings across the business and are progressing discussions with a broad range of occupiers. Retail footfall and sales growth continue to outperform industry benchmarks and we have made further disposals of non-core assets and residential units ahead of valuation. The business is well placed; we remain mindful of potential headwinds going forward.” Chris Grigg, Chief Executive Click here to read the press release

Sale of 29 Apartments at Aldgate Together with JV partner Barratt, we have recently completed the bulk sale of 29 apartments at Aldgate. Click and Collect Spend to Double by 2021 Our ‘True Value of Stores’ report, which measured the role of stores in an omnichannel age, has been downloaded over 600 times in the six months since launch. It shows that 89% of all UK retail sales involve a physical store. Under-35-year-olds use stores most, Londoners are most likely to visit a store and click & collect and online sales browsed in store boost UK store sales by 5%, increasing to 9% if excluding Food & Grocery. Looking forward it suggests click & collect spend will double by 2021 and retailers offering a seamless omnichannel experience are likely to outperform. Click here to download

Delivering Value

On Site at 100 Liverpool Street Work has started at 100 Liverpool Street, our 520,000 sq ft office and retail development at the entrance of Broadgate. Initial works began in the retail mall over Christmas and hoardings are now going up. The redevelopment is part of wider plans to create a vibrant, mixed use London destination at Broadgate and is expected to attract a diverse range of occupiers. It includes an additional 90,000 sq ft of retail and food and beverage space and will complete in 2019 just after the arrival of Crossrail. Chris Grigg blogs on our plans here
