THINKIFIED BRANDING & APP DEVELOPMENT The purpose of Thinkified is to help thinkers capture early stage ideas, to connect people with complimentary skills, and to bring those ideas to life. Ideas can be kept private or be released into the general domain. Thinkified has been one of my favorite projects to work on. We used the words ‘think’ and ‘verified’ to create a portmanteau. The logo is a CFL bulb created from check marks. I used the common motif of the light bulb to represent ideas and check marks to represent verification, and we got something more as a result. The rest of the brand came together very quickly afterwards. They belong together because they are made from the same elements. I love this logo because of the way it all came together.

THINKIFIED APP SCREEN LAYOUTS These are designs for all of the initial screens for the Thinkified iPhone app. The biggest challenge we wanted to overcome with the design of the app was to give users a sense of strength and security. The primary function of Thinkified, from the user’s perspective, is to capture and store ideas. Users need to feel confident that their concepts will be kept safe and secure.

THINKIFIED FOUNDING THINKER CROWDFUNDING CAMPAIGN Being consistent with brand is one of the key ways to differentiate yourself from the pack. Good branding increases trust. We wanted our earliest adopters to feel like they were really involved at and be a part of something completely new. We called these people Founding Thinkers. The campaign’s branding is slightly different to Thinkified’s main design elements, but it retains many key elements. Specifically, color, font, and linguistic tone.

RUTH’S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE PRINT, OUTDOOR, AND VIDEO My team and I produced ads for all corporate Ruth’s Chris restaurants and most franchise locations. I have not been involved with the Agency for the last year, but the design processes I established are still going strong. Over 700 print pieces have been published in the last 24 months and over 3,500 projects have been completed since 2009. I created a video that was displayed on the NASDAQ Tower in Times Square on June 11th, 2015. The video was created in honor of the 10th anniversary of Ruth’s Chris going public in 2005. Having my work displayed in such an iconic location was a career highlight for me.

BATTERY TENDER BATTERY TENDER APP The Battery Tender app was designed and coded in tandem with the engineering team’s integration of a new cost-effective Wi-Fi module. The entire project from start to the initial product launch was only 9 months. The wireless 1st generation battery monitor and wireless battery charger are now available at AutoZone stores and will be available globally in 2017. The app is currently available for iOS and Android. We’ve started receiving feedback from users and we’re planning to reflow the app and add new features next year.

Project Goals

• Expandable For Future Products • Flexible content areas for monetization • Plan for future delivery of blog content • Six-week deadline • Use app to update company brand

BATTERY TENDER WIRELESS BATTERY MONITOR DESIGN

CONCEPT SKETCH

Battery Tender is just starting it’s foray into IoT and I was given a lot of freedom to create a device that would look completely different to anything they’ve released before. The device is intended to be attached to a car battery and send state of charge data to the Battery Tender app through the cloud and over Wi-Fi. These are concepts from different stages of the design process. The final product is available in select retail stores in the US right now and will be released globally in 2017. Design Notes: We used color blocking to help product users quickly reconnect the device in a potentially dark environment. The allusion to the Ying and the Yang is present because the device passes electrical current (energy) in, through, and out.

FLORIDA HOSPITAL & SHARING SMILES NON-PROFIT PROMOTIONAL VIDEO I was invited to shoot video for Sharing Smiles (formerly Shares International) in Oaxaca Mexico. The surgical mission trips that they organize provides free cleft lip and palate surgery for children. The team that organizes the trips as well as the nurses and surgeons are all volunteers who use their vacation time to help other people. Many amazing people are involved in Sharing Smiles and producing this video was my way of contributing. The team that organizes these trips and the medical professionals who donate their vacation time to provide these services are amazing people and I wanted to cotribute in my own way. I was given full access to all medical facilities, including the operating room. I also had the opportunity to shoot b-roll footage around the city and visit a 2000 year old pyramid with a local guide. Creating this video was one of the most eye-opening and touching experiences of my life. I’m still involved with Sharing Smiles and I hope to continue helping them for many years to come. Last year, I re-edited the original footage we captured in Mexico for the half-time show at a fundraising soccer event. Watch the video: bit.ly/shares-mexico

PRESIDIUM IMPACT ALERT POS VIDEO (FOR CANADIAN TIRE) This video was used as part of a POS display in Canadian Tire stores across Canada. The goal was to create a short, attention-grabbing video that could explain the concept of the Impact Alert system in under a minute. In addition, a French language version of the video was created for Quebec and other French speaking areas. We only had 1 week to deliver the final product. We organized the video shoot in just 2 days and delivered the video on time. The video can be seen at the following address: bit.ly/impact-alert

GOLF CHANNEL / GOLFNOW SOCIAL AND CONTENT MARKETING We worked with GolfNow and Golf Channel to create an online promotional program focused on social media and blog posts to generate leads for their latest contest. My team and I created content for the GolfNow blog, as well as YouTube, Instagram and Twitter. Participants had a chance to win a trip to Ireland, receive new clubs, and play a round of golf with pro-golfer Graeme McDowell. GolfNow’s goal was to at least match the number of unique entries from their previous contest and we surpassed that goal by 20%.

ROCKEFELLER GROUP BUSINESS CENTERS INBOUND EMAIL CAMPAIGN RGBC’s sends customized emails to its subscribers each month based on the demographic group to which they belong. My team and I created 6 different group persona which represents 90% of their customers and each subscriber is assigned to 1 or more of these groups based on the content they interact with on their blog and social media channels. We created each email group to connect potential renters with content they will find valuable and to foster trust through interesting information, thought leadership, and valuable insights.

EMERGENCY PRODUCTS & RESEARCH NEW PRODUCT LOGO, ADS, AND TRADE SHOW BANNERS EP&R launched a new product which can be used to disinfect the interior of operating rooms and ambulances. Ads placed in first responder publications tend to be generic and unattractive. My goal with AMBUstat’s brand was to elevate the look and feel and differentiate EP&R by presenting their new product with more style.
