A New Beginning, a New Building The ground breaking ceremony for the new SK Hand Tool LLC manufacturing and corporate th offices took place on October 4 2010 in Sycamore, IL. We have had excellent weather in the Midwest and, as of today, the building is a week ahead of schedule to be in production early in 2011. While the new manufacturing space for our cold formed products is being built, we are beginning to set up manufacturing for products such as our screwdrivers, wrenches, ratchets and pliers in our other IDEAL INDUSTRIES owned facilities.
World Class Manufacturing The SK brand has always stood for Made In U.S.A. quality, service and performance. To be competitive in today’s marketplace the new production facility has been designed as a world class, customer demand flow facility that will ensure that the premium quality products our customers expect will be available when they need them. As the new factory is being built the SK product and manufacturing teams are using demand flow manufacturing techniques to simulate the flow of products through the new facility. As we continue to plan the manufacturing flow of the new factory, we will be contacting many of our customers in the coming weeks asking you to work with us in estimating your initial order and ongoing forecasts for SK products.
