Julia is an advocate of preventative health with a unique combination of qualifications and experience in both occupational hygiene and medicine. Wearing two hats herself, Julia is passionate about the pluses of a multi-disciplinary approach to health and safety issues. Her address will include strategies for success in establishing effective working health collaborations, as well as the possible pitfalls. She will share case studies to illustrate what happens when we fall short, and also stories of the success that can be achieved through a systematic culture of collaboration across health and safety professions.
Eldeen will talk about what it takes to be truly successful as workplace health and safety professionals today, based on more than 25 years of experience as a global health and safety professional and her time as the head of the International Network of Safety and Health Professional Organization. She will take us on a journey of exploring why we do what we do, before outlining INSHPO’s Occupational Health and Safety Professional Capability Framework and how it can help us focus on the roles, capabilities, knowledge and skills that we need to have.
