When to go New Zealand offers four seasons as distinct from each other in climate as they are in colour. Winter is the perfect time to experience the magnificent snow fields, summer is peak period for adventure travellers, but avid photographers will find picturesque scenery year round.

Electricity 230V 50Hz

Time New Zealand Standard Time (NZST) runs 2 hours ahead of AEST. Daylight Saving Time is observed from the last Sunday in September, until the first Sunday in April.

Currency The official currency is the New Zealand dollar (NZD). Major credit cards and travellers’ cheques are widely accepted.

Language English is the first language. Maori is also commonly spoken. Try these Maori phrases: Hello/thank you (kia ora), see you later (hei konei ra), yes (ae), no (kaore), How are you? (Kei te pehea koe?).

BREAK YOUR ROUTINE Go by Camper

Pack more into your adventure When you’re in control and the wide-open road is ahead of you, you can’t help but be happy. When you go by camper you choose where you go. You even choose the view you wake up to and the surprises you come across. There’s no better way to discover New Zealand.

WHY GO BY CAMPER? ROAM FREE No other method of travel offers such freedom, with a campervan affording almost the same reach as a motorcar, with the convenience of your own ‘home’ on board. Outside of the busiest spots in peak season, campsite bookings aren’t required, allowing you to follow a flexible campervan route at your own pace lingering when the time is right and heading in the direction your mood takes you. WAKE UP TO A NEW VIEW EVERY DAY Be spoilt for choice when it comes to parking up for the night in some of the most picturesque locations. With each stop comes the opportunity to explore new territory and get a fresh perspective – whether a basic council camp or scenic reserve, to groomed holiday parks hugging the coastline, with plenty of designated freedom camping spots ... it’s amazing what you can see through the campervan window. IMMERSE YOURSELF WITH NATURE Between golden sunrises and fiery sunsets, bright days and dark nights illuminated by the moon, stars and campfire, the sound of wind in the trees and rain on the roof, the smells of pine forest and seaside saltiness ... few other forms of travel offer so much daily interaction and connection with the natural world. BE SOCIAL A beloved pastime for generations, the camping holiday is as popular as ever and enjoyed by folks from all over the world and all walks of life. You’ll encounter a camping culture that is welcoming, and kids needn’t be the only ones making new friends. Campsites are famous for their conviviality and communal spirit – striking up a conversation and sharing travel stories takes little more than a linger around the barbecue or other shared area. ALLOW FOR SURPRISES On a campervan road trip, getting there is more than half the fun. It’s all about the journey and the experiences you have along the way. Wake up amongst the vines with a winery haven overnight stay, or add bikes and stop off at one of the many NZ Cycle trails! Slow down, relax and embrace the experiences.

Steep and deep, with wide, open powder bowls and lofty narrow chutes accessed by 3 high-capacity rope tows servicing a vertical rise of 503m, Craigieburn leaves little to be desired. Terrain at Craigieburn Valley is varied, exciting and challenging, with the infamous 600m vertical descent of Middle Basin (which is often compared to a heli-skiing experience) accessible by a short traverse from the tow. Day 5 Craigieburn – Broken River – Craigieburn (61km) Get ready for a true adventure at Broken River. This ski field was born in the early 1950s and the terrain here consists of a large open basin serviced by 5 electrically driven, high-capacity rope tows. Day 7 Lake Tekapo – Mt Dobson – Lake Tekapo (36km) This morning, wake up alongside the turquoise Lake Tekapo, just a stone’s throw from Mt Dobson ski field. This mountain is famous for its all-day sun,

stunning scenery, groomed trails and an awesome off-piste. A rope tow, platter, T-Bar and triple chairlift provide access to a variety of intermediate and advanced runs serving 14 trails over an area of 400ha. Day 8 Lake Tekapo – Ohau (89km) For the next 2 days, ski Ohau – an off-piste heaven with plenty of challenging terrain and good hiking to access the wide open powder bowls from the ridge line. Nestled deep in the spectacular Mackenzie High Country, Ohau is one of the favourite skifields for experienced skiers and snowboarders in New Zealand. Day 9 Ohau Wake up fresh from your night at Ohau Lodge and get ready to do it all again. Sit down and enjoy the hospitality of the Ohau staff as they serve you breakfast in the dining room. Eat up! You’ll want plenty of energy for another day on the slopes. Day 10 Ohau – Wanaka (148km) After breakfast, continue the journey south to Wanaka. Today is an allocated non-ski day but, once again, the same rules apply from day 6: if it has dumped, or if there’s been a missed ski day previously, you’ll be off skiing. Day 11 Wanaka Today you have the choice of chilling out in the haven that is Wanaka or taking part in an optional activity, such as sky diving or heli skiing. Wanaka is a great place to relax and recharge your batteries, with some great lakeside cafes and restaurants to discover. Your guide will have plenty of recommendations. Tonight, enjoy the last night together with an end-of-tour dinner, where you’ll have a few beers, a great meal, and a few laughs, of course. Domestic: after full payment, the cancellation fee on packages will be $55 per person plus any supplier fees on the land portion of your booking. Domestic airfares are non-refundable. AMENDMENTS: An amendment is a change to an existing booking with the same inclusions. Any supplier or airline amendment fees will be charged. A transfer to another package may be treated as a cancellation and operator cancellation fees may apply. If the new package is of greater value and no operator fees apply, there will be no amendment/ reissue fee. SUPPLIER CHANGE & CANCELLATION FEES: Cancelled bookings may also incur supplier fees, which can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Supplier fees may also apply where a booking is changed and when tickets or documents are re-issued. Where we incur any liability for a supplier cancellation fee for any booking which you change or cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee. Where you seek a refund for a cancelled booking for which payment has been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier. REFUNDS: Subject to your refund and remedy rights under the Australian Consumer Law, no refund is available for cancellations after the holiday package has commenced or in respect of any tours, accommodation, meals or any other services not utilised. Selected holiday packages consist of a combined airfare and land/tour component which cannot be sold and subsequently cancelled and/ or refunded separately. Requests for refunds received more than six months after the departure date for travel will not be accepted. NOT INCLUDED IN PRICE OF HOLIDAY: All passengers are responsible for the cost of their own travel arrangements to and from

their departure point (as set out in the brochure). The cost of anything not specifically noted as being included in the holiday package is at the passenger’s expense.
