TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER TENDER NUMBER: 2015/064 Appointment of a Professional Service Provider to Undertake a Green Buildings Study for Umgeni Water Sites
Umgeni Water is a State-owned business enterprise that operates within the South African legislative parameters. The primary function of Umgeni Water is to supply treated water in bulk to its municipal customers. Competent and experienced service providers are invited to tender for the following: Appointment of a professional service provider to undertake a green buildings study for Umgeni Water sites. In addition to the eligibility criteria stipulated in the document, only tenderers who fulfil the following criteria are eligible to submit tenders: • A Green Star South African-accredited Professional with a BArch degree • An Environmental Scientist/Professional with a 4-year BSc degree in Environmental Management or equivalent who is registered with the South African Council for Natural Scientific Professions. Tenderers are required to achieve at least 30% Contract Participation Goals (CPG), including a minimum 5% Black Women Participation of the value of goods, services and works paid to one or more targeted enterprises to comply with Umgeni Water’s B-BBEE policy initiative. Evaluation method: The tender will firstly be evaluated on eligibility. If found to be eligible, it will be further evaluated in two stages ie: • Functionality shall be assessed. A minimum functionality score of seventy (70) points is required for the tender to be considered further • Price & Preference using the 80/20 Preference Point Scoring System in terms of PPPFA. The physical address for collection and submission of tender documents and the submission of tenders is Umgeni Water, 310 Burger Street, Pietermaritzburg. Documents may be collected during working hours from 09:00 to 15:00 from 4 November 2014 to 7 November 2014 and from 09:00 to 10:30 on 10 November 2014. Tender documents will only be sold during the said period and hours. A non-refundable tender fee of R500.00 payable by Electronic Fund Transfer before collecting or in cash on collection of the tender document is required. Proof of EFT payment is to be provided on collection.
