The David E. Baughman Scholarship The David E. Baughman Scholarship supports students who have graduated from Jamestown, Greenville, Commodore Perry or Reynolds high schools and who have been accepted into a four-year program at Thiel College. Each year, the Baughman Foundation Scholarship Committee—appointed by the Northern Mercer County Community Foundation—awards guaranteed four-year scholarships.

Applying for the Baughman Scholarship 1. Students must be attending the following high schools: Jamestown, Greenville, Commodore Perry or Reynolds high schools. 2. David E. Baughman Scholarship recipients must have a minimum 2.75 high school cumulative grade point average (GPA) at time of application. 3. Write an original essay of 1,000-1,500 words highlighting your career goals, life mission and how obtaining a degree from a liberal arts school will enhance your life. 4. Provide a letter of reference from a teacher, coach or guidance counselor highlighting why you should be a recipient of this scholarship.

5. Scholarship recipients will be determined through a faculty review committee. 6. FAFSA must be filed and submitted to Thiel College (school code 003376)

Application Timeline February 15 Students must be applied and accepted, and must have above essay requirement completed. March Scholarship results are announced.
