Describe interprofessional education (IPE) as outlined by the World Health Organization Explain the four competency domains crafted by the Interprofessional Education Collaborative Expert Panel Discuss the additional aspects that the McWhorter School of Pharmacy has incorporated into their IPE model Identify the requirements of becoming a preceptor under the Alabama Board of Pharmacy Legislation and Rules Understand and apply the requirements for students and preceptors related to externs/interns under the Alabama Board of Pharmacy Legislation and Rules Outline an effective and formative orientation session for an incoming student for an introductory pharmacy practice experience (IPPE) and advance pharmacy practice experience (APPE) Outline a lesson plan for a student experiential experience to facilitate effective learning and a positive experience

ACPE Program #: 0002-0000-17-001-L04-P 2 hours (0.2 CEUs) This is an application based CPE activity and appropriate for all pharmacists. To obtain credit, participant must attend the session and complete the program assessments. Credit will be sent through CPE Monitor within 30 days of the program.
