CULTURE

Christ has a VISION of Church Growth – spiritual, numerical and geographical –

through which His Fullness is displayed through the Whole Church

to All Creation

--GCC seeks to be a part of that vision

Our Vision •

Spiritual Growth: A Church where members are defined by a common commitment to individual, small group and collective growth in the word of God, prayer and the Holy Spirit; where mentoring is in place to develop the gifts and callings of believers and equip leaders for ministry.

Numerical Growth: A Church where members are outward-looking and welcoming to visitors, seekers and unbelievers alike; where every believer has realistic opportunity to engage in outreach.

Geographical Growth: A Church where members are equipped to plant new assemblies in the most neglected areas of the city; an international church with a global reach that is engaged with totally unreached people groups.

Christ Provides a STRATEGY to Unite, Mature, Equip and Release His Church

through Servant Leadership of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers

Our Strategy •

Ascension Ministries: Regular input of All Ascension Ministries that models, equips and releases a broad and dynamic expression of Christ’s ministry.

Leadership Development: Deploy the Baton Leadership Programme locally, based on disciplined study, pastoral mentoring and practical application.

Individual Discipleship: Enabling the spiritual growth of every member through Life Groups, Focus Groups and one-on-one mentoring.

Ministry Opportunities: Creating space for the development of gifts and callings through Church Ministries, Sunday Evening Services, StreetConnect, Church Planting and World Missions.

“Culture trumps everything ... Don’t tell people what you’re going to do – that’s vision. Do what you are going to do – that’s culture.” John Maxwell

Christ Creates a CULTURE of Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit lived out through a Community of Faith and Love that is devoted to Biblical Truth, Close Fellowship, Collective Prayer, Gospel Witness … and Regions Beyond.

Our Culture •

Christ-exalting:

Where we worship, obey and serve Christ above all.

Spirit-filled:

Where people are marked by the fullness, fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Love-motivated:

Where community is strong, giving is generous and visitors are enthusiastically welcomed.

Word-focused:

Where there is hunger to study and live the Bible.

Prayer-centred:

Where everything is built on and surrounded by prayer.

Outward-looking:

Where there is a passion to spread the Gospel, commitment to serve the community and a ‘regions beyond’ mentality.
