ECONOMIC SECURITY FIELD OFFICER (Hiraan Region) Based in Belet Weyne - Somalia, the Economic Security Field Officer (Resident/National position) is responsible for the overall management of Economic Security (EcoSec) activities and resources in the Hiraan region. He/she analyses the economic security situation, conducts needs assessments and plans for relevant interventions.

Your Responsibilities  Ensures regular monitoring of the Economic/food Security situation in the assigned regions;  Plans, implements and monitors the EcoSec Programme according the institutional procedures and objectives;  Conducts assessment missions, writes assessment reports and project proposals;  Reports on the progress of the programme and its outcomes against the set objectives;  Manages the respective teams of the Somali Red Crescent Society (SRCS) that are involved in the implementation of the EcoSec emergency and livelihood interventions;  Establishes and maintains contacts with the relevant stakeholders at the community, district and regional levels;  Contributes to the annual planning exercise of the EcoSec department for the assigned regions.

Your Profile  University degree in Agriculture, Economics, Animal Production, Veterinary Science or related fields;  At least 4 years’ work experience in a similar field;  Team leadership skills;  Very good analytical and communication skills;  Fluent in written and spoken English and Somali;  Good knowledge of political, social and cultural affairs of the assigned regions; We Offer  A dynamic and challenging work environment in the humanitarian and international environment;  Training and development opportunities;  A monthly gross salary of USD 1452 plus secondary benefits based on the ICRC Somalia Compensation and Benefits framework; How To Apply Apply by sending your cover letter and CV addressed to the Human Resources Manager, ICRC Somalia Delegation, on the email address [email protected].
