The Position: Education and Community Engagement Manager We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our senior team and be responsible for fostering audience development through community outreach and education programs. Reporting to the General Manager and Artistic Director, this position will create and enhance opportunities to connect the audience and wider community to the work at Royal MTC. We believe that great theatre goes beyond the stage – it engages the community and encourages people to become more knowledgeable about theatrical arts. We currently offer a robust program for theatre-keen teenagers but hope to encourage more students to develop a deeper connection with the work displayed on stage, and behind the scenes. The ideal candidate will develop on-going relationships with community leaders, organizations and educational institutions to elevate the visibility of Royal MTC through the establishment of successful programs that foster youth education and audience enrichment. Qualifications • Post-secondary education in a related field (Education, English, Performing Arts) is considered an asset. • Minimum of two years’ demonstrated experience creating and facilitating educational programs for youth or adults. • Passion for theatre or other performing arts. • Strong relationship management, communication skills and presentation ability. • Creative, enthusiastic and self-motivating; ability to work independently.
