Elite Nutrition FastTrack Programme Our integrated, interdisciplinary Athletic Performance Unit (APU) is scouring the globe for the next intake of young and driven performance coaches for our 2017 Elite Nutrition FastTrack Programme (FTP). This is not your normal ‘internship’, where all you will do is make protein shakes and cut up fruit. Sure, we all do that, but in the FTP, you will be working with one of the most exciting lists in the AFL and you will be exposed to every part of our programme in an intensive and assessed curriculum-based 10-month programme, aimed at accelerating your development into an elite high performance practitioner. The curriculum consists of both professional and technical development and this will be the cornerstone of your graduation from the programme. The areas that you will gain elite experience in are: ·

Body composition assessment and monitoring

·

Optimising performance nutrition and hydration practices in an professional environment

·

Design and delivery of individualized evidence-based supplements programmes

·

Training, travel and match day nutrition and hydration

You will be mentored by our Senior Athletic Performance Dietitian but also be given individual responsibilities to enhance your skillsets. In addition, you will be provided with development opportunities through structured mentoring within our APU, visits to other elite organisations in Sydney, and external education and training. Successful applicants must possess: ·

At least an undergraduate degree in Nutrition

·

Previous nutrition delivery experience

·

A passionate drive to excel in high performance sport

·

Humility and a thirst for knowledge

·

A phenomenal work ethic

·

An ability to commit a minimum of 12-15 hours per week, primarily based at our training HQ at Sydney Olympic Park

·

An ability to travel and provide match day nutrition services throughout the season

·

An availability for 10 months from November 2015

It is desirable that applicants hold: ·

DAA and SDA membership (or overseas equivalent)

·

ISAK Level 1 anthropometry certification
