If you are the landlord, tenant or owner/occupier of an existing building and need specialist advice on Energy Act implications and what you can do to make your property compliant, GLM can provide a number of services to help you take action: • Advice on legislation and how it could affect you (owner, landlord, tenant) • Review lease conditions and identify if existing tenants may be liable for energy improvements to meet 2018 standards • Assess existing building information and undertake site surveys to establish potential energy improvements to meet the proposed standards • Provide an Energy Efficiency Action Plan (a bespoke energy improvement plan) • Specify, procure and project manage the works recommended in the Energy Efficiency Action Plan • Negotiate with landlords/tenants regarding cost splits (where lease conditions contain no clause specific to energy improvements or the Energy Act) • ‘Futureproof’ your building to improve beyond the required level • Provide a revised EPC demonstrating improvements and compliance with regulations
