eCareers update

Rail Career We encourage all people working in the railway Sheets industry, at operations, tactical and strategic levels, to complete our Rail Career Sheet online (available at http:// railtalent.org/people-rail) so that we can showcase variety of jobs available in the sector, as well as gender and cultural diversity. Since 2014 we have collected over 70 completed entries and published them all on the Railway Talents website, so that new talents can be inspired by people who are already in the sector. The most recent entries of Rail Career Sheets published present careers of Matheus de Oliveira Lima, Railway Inspection Engineer from Brazil and Laura Fortunato, Proposal Manager from Italy. LinkedIn groups We have set up two groups on LinkedIn, a portal for professionals, where we promote Railway Talents project. The first group is simply called ‘Railway Talents’ and is open to the public so anyone with a LinkedIn account can join in and contribute. The 2nd group is open to Railway Talents’ Ambassadors only. The plans are to use both groups to discuss new ideas for promoting talents in the railways as well as to ‘socialise’ online and meet rail colleagues from around the world. Check http://railtalent.org for details. RailUniNet:

Dr Anna Fraszczyk has now new member left Newcastle University, UK to take up a postdoctoral fellowship position at Mahidol University, Thailand. Anna will be representing her new employer in RailUniNet from October 2016.
