PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
T
he Arkansas Good Roads Transportation Council is pleased to present a scholarship program to qualifying students attending an Arkansas university who are working towards a degree in a Civil Engineering.
Scholarships of $5,000 are being made available for qualified, outstanding Civil Engineering students in their junior year of school at an accredited university. Scholarships may be awarded to qualifying engineering students for each of their junior and senior years of study upon acceptance into the scholarship program. Any student who receives a $5,000 scholarship in their junior year is eligible to apply for an additional scholarship of the same amount for their last two semesters provided they still meet the requirements set out by the Transportation Council. By signing this application, it is understood that any student who violates any program policies, including, but not limited to illegal, unethical or immoral conduct, may have his/her scholarship revoked and/or not renewed.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS • Be enrolled in a Civil Engineering program and be in good standing • Be four semesters from graduation • Have an overall GPA of 2.8 or higher on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) • Have a commitment to work within the highway construction industry in Arkansas for a minimum of one year upon graduation
