PPG liquid coatings can be solventor water-based, air-dried or forcecured, and applied by electrostatic spray, dipping and other conventional methods. Ranging from ultra-durable to value-oriented, PPG liquid coatings can meet any budget and performance requirement.
PPG powder coatings are formulated for applications that require the ultimate combination of corrosion resistance, weathering performance and operational attributes.
When used as part of a pretreatment, primer and topcoat system, they offer exceptional corrosion and chemical resistance with excellent sag resistance and strong adhesion.
PPG also offers a full line of polyester powder formulations, including low-cure, ultra-durable, TGIC and TGIC-free products, which remain popular for their excellent corrosion and chemical resistance and all-around application versatility.
Electrocoats Electrocoat tanks around the world are filled with PPG coatings. PPG pioneered the first electrocoat system in the 1960s, and has been credited with many major innovations in the industry since.

Ultraviolet and Electrobeam Coatings

Ultraviolet (UV) and electrobeam (EB) are two advanced technologies used for curing highperformance polymer coatings. UV uses high-intensity, focused, UV radiation to initiate curing, while EB utilizes a focused beam of electrons to achieve the same goal.

Solvent-based SPECTRACRON® coatings encompass primers and topcoats in alkyd-, urethane-, epoxy- and acrylicbased formulations. AQUACRON™ coatings offer the same durable primers and topcoats, but in water-based formulations with ultra-low-VOC and hazardous air pollutant (HAP) content.
ENVIROCRON™ powder coatings provide maximum abrasion resistance and hardness in color-intensive applications. They are available as epoxy, epoxy-polyester hybrid, polyurethane, acrylic, fluoropolymer and metallic specialeffect coatings.
POWERCRON® electrocoats provide outstanding edge coverage and recoatability. This industry-leading product line delivers uniform film build, color consistency and UV resistance, along with enhanced corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, high yield rates and applied cost efficiency.
A variety of pretreatment and engineered products are available, including zirconiumbased, sludge by-product-reducing ZIRCOBOND® and X-BOND™ pretreatments, and the ULTRAGUARD™ pretreatment series of iron-phosphate cleaners and coaters.
RAYCRON® UV coatings are made of 100% solids and contain no water or solvent, meeting regulatory guidelines for low VOC and HAP content. They are an excellent choice where high solids, fast cure and improved handling applications are critical.
