Hi there, I was planning a more comprehensive tutorial on how to use the video backgrounds, music files and other video elements, but as I begun to investigate, the more I needed to explain, so I changed direction in order not to bombard you with too much content, besides there are so many good tutorials online we could refer to when needed. So today, I'm going to guide you in the right direction, give you the necessary tutorials and software, as well show you where you need to go for more answers. So let's dive right in. Inside the folders I sent you, you'll find music files, video backgrounds and other elements to use for your video articles Below are the steps necessary to create the video articles for free, and depending on the software you plan to use, these steps may vary too. I'm also a windows user, and I don't have a clue about Mac, as a result this tutorial will be base on windows software, however the same principles can be applied to Mac users as well.

STEP 1: Recording a PowerPoint Presentation You may already own a paid software like Camtasia and similar, however, for the sake of those who don't and are not ready to invest in a paid software just yet, we will use only free and open source software for this guide. 1: First thing you'll need to do is to download CamStudio at www.camstudio.org if you don't have it already. When the page loads, scroll to the bottom of the page and click to download and install CamStudio20.exe and CamStudioCodec14.exe file as well. For Mac users I found this to be an alternative http://danicsoft.com/projects/copernicus/.

2: After you install both the CamStudio and CamStudioCodec, load the program, and you should see a window as seen in the screenshot below.


3: Next, you should watch the YouTube tutorials for CamStudio to adjust the settings for best quality.

4: In the CamStudio window, at the top menu select the menu option “Region”, then choose fixed, and make the size 640x480. The fixed option will allow you to use a recording rectangle at a specific resolution, which you can also drag over the area of the screen you want to record.

640x480 as well. 6: Next click on the red button to start recording, it will load the rectangle you can drag over the set region you want to record. Once you are ready, begin the narration of your article. To change slides, just click on the left panel where you have the slides panel. If you don't want to add voice, then just read each slide without recording the voice. This way you can keep the screen active long enough for your audience to be able to read it.

7: After you finish press stop and a new window will load asking you to save your file to AVI.

STEP 2: Insert music, effects and other video elements to your video. There are many ways to do this, and below this step, I have included a list of free video editing software along with their description and where to find the video tutorials all for free. Since you are not going to be doing anything to complex, it will be very easy for you to get up and running, assuming you've never done this before. The main goal of this step is to add some life to your videos, for example apart from just effects, you may want to show examples with screenshots, or even add additional video clips to show more examples. So basically here are the steps you need to take 1: Whether you are a Mac or a Windows user, open the appropriate software. 2: Depending on the software you are using, and from the tutorials below assuming you don't know your way around the software, you'll see (usually for windows users) under “files” menu, “import” or “open” media files. And these media files are your music files, backgrounds, video effects and of course your newly recorded article. 3: Import them into the timeline, and follow the instructions in the respective software tutorials that show you how to create the motions and additional effects. 4: When you are satisfied, render the file to the appropriate format.

That's actually one way of doing it.... Here’s Another Another way can be to use Camtasia, Sony Vegas or any of the free video editing software we listed below to create the full video articles, by adding the text directly. So here are the basic steps you should follow 1: Open the video editing software 2: Import all the media you plan to use... Music files, video backgrounds, and any other video elements. 3: Just as you have your article arranged per slides, copy your text and use the text tool inside the software to paste the content into different clips, just as you would split them in different slides. 4: Next, add a background to it, along with the music you like, and finally, you can add additional transition effects provided by the software. 5: Once you are satisfied with the motion, then you can record the narration right inside the software. 6: Render your file, and you’re done.
