Extreme Collaboration What is Extreme Collaboration Extreme Collaboration is a SMART Board add-on that allows your students to connect to your SMART Board lessons. Students can use a mobile, web browser enabled device (smart phone, tablet, laptop, desktop computer, etc.) to send text messages directly into your SMART Notebook lesson. Creating an Extreme Collaboration Account (optional, but required for creating classes) Open SMART Notebook after installation Click on the Add-ons tab Click on the Extreme Collaboration add-on Click Connect Click the Login drop-down arrow Click the “Create an account” Follow the onscreen directions Go back to SMART Notebook and enter your login credentials

Starting a Session Click the Session drop-down arrow and choose the “How students join” option Click Start Set session options (click the ID drop-down arrow) Set the Activity option Set the Extended settings Click “Start activity” After activity is complete, click Stop

How Students Join the Session 1. Students need to go to http://www.add2nb.com in their web browser 2. Students need to type in the Session Number shown on the side tab in SMART Notebook a. Or students can scan the QR code to join the session 3. If “Enter name” or “Use class list” option is selected, students will enter their name 4. Click Connect 5. Students will type their message 6. Students will select category or color options if turned on by teacher 7. Click Send 8. Repeat as needed
