Farm491 Farm491 is the UK’s first agriculture focussed technology incubator – a new start-up facility at the Royal Agricultural University encouraging entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation by offering a unique place for learning, ideas generation, mentoring and networking. Unlike other technology incubators, Farm491 has 491 hectares of farmland available for research and testing within one of the UK’s most well connected agricultural heartlands. Farm491 members will have access to a strong support and knowledge network comprising farmers, entrepreneurs, investors and academics and will get open access to historic farming data, research, equipment and resources to test, refine and grow their business propositions. Designed to accommodate around 200+ people, Farm491 will support agri-tech startup businesses with up to six staff; it will provide an environment to stimulate ideas and help support the growth of new products/businesses from their inception. Farm491 is offering working space of the future at both the main campus in Cirencester and at the RAU’s Manor Farm at Harnhill (about 6 miles away) – affordable and flexible co-working environments where budding entrepreneurs can run and grow their businesses. This pioneering new AgriTech hub in the heart of the Cotswolds will create an incubation environment with the potential to influence and benefit the wider agricultural and food production industry… a space where anything is possible. The Royal Agricultural University is a publicly funded institution in the University sector, providing mainly Higher Education courses but now also at sub-degree level which prepare graduates for managerial careers in the business, food, agriculture, land management, equine and property sector. The University is one of the oldest established institutions of its type in the world. Collaborative partnerships are a strong growth area for Farm491 and this has led to the creation of this new role to support and assist with forecasted developments. Main purpose:

To support the University activities in collaborative provision. Farm491 is seeking to appoint an experienced customer service individual with good administration skills. The Centre Co-ordinator being customer facing will take responsibility for the business centres, delivering good customer service and providing administrative support as required. The successful candidate will be able to deliver a range of administrative tasks such as room bookings, events, customer enquiries and be able and willing to work with a range of start- up businesses, external businesses and service providers.

Main Duties and Responsibilities 1. Provide a high level of administrative support to the Farm491 Programme Manager, Farm491 members and other users of the business facilities. 2. Responsible for the day to day running of Trent Lodge including meeting and greeting visitors, replenishing consumables, booking meeting rooms, setting up rooms for events and assisting resident companies with any enquires or issues. 3. Responsible for answering routine enquiries on a daily basis related to the work of Farm491. 4. Responsible for compiling information relating to membership fees and phone charges for monthly invoicing. 5. Help develop, implement and explain procedures to members, students and service providers. 6. Assist in the production of periodic reports on the outcomes of the business support facilities and related projects. 7. Maintain and update information relating to those using the business facilities. 8. Liaise with the various Schools and partners to coordinate the dissemination of information to relevant internal departments and stakeholders, ensuring that communications related to the delivery of Farm491 are up to date. 9. Prepare and deliver presentations and information to all stakeholders on progress of Farm491 and how to access and collaborate with Farm491. 10. Work with members to ensure customer care plans are in place and maintained to satisfy expectations of members. 11. Take responsibility for planning and prioritising own work, within the requirements of the role as determined by the line manager 12. Managing key information relating to funding awards, quality assurance and enhancement, including the updating and publication of documentation required for public information. 13. To take minutes of meetings and produce minutes and visit reports as required. 14. To attend shows and events, when necessary, to promote the Farm491 brand. 15. To undertake any other duties commensurate with your grade, and/or hours of work, as may reasonably be required of you
