Tournament goals

Development of badminton in the Republic of Belarus; increasing sports proficiency and competition experience of the participants; promoting badminton among youth; communication between players and fostering relationships between them.

Time of the tournament

Saturday (28.10): 10:00–21:00 Sunday (29.10): 10:00–17:00 (if necessary)

Categories

Category defines the badminton player's level of proficiency. According to tournamentsoftware we have 4 categories: A, B, C, D. A — professional sportsmen. For Russian sportsmen the rating should be more no more than 525 points, according to the "Amateur Association of Badminton" rating. B — strong amateurs. For Russian sportsmen the rating should be no more than 425 points, according to the "Amateur Association of Badminton" rating. C — amateurs. For Russian sportsmen the rating should be no more than 325 points, according to the "Amateur Association of Badminton" rating. D — novices. For Russian sportsmen the rating should be no more than 225 points, according to the "Amateur Association of Badminton" rating. Participants of the first two seasons of BBL (Belarusian Badminton League) can find their category in the list. Player's category lets them send application/ applications to categories ranked no lower than that assigned. If you were not assigned a category or have questions about it — please contact our tournament manager.

Events

Event — a separate competition between players of one category. Event consists of a game type: singles (S), doubles (D), mixed (XD) and category (A, B, C, D) to which it belongs. In cases when there are not enough players in two events of adjacent categories or in one category, events can be joined by tournament manager's decision.

Categorie B (strong amateurs): SB (singles — man & woman). 12 players. DB (doubles — man & woman). 8 doubles. XDB (mixed doubles). 8 doubles. Categorie A (professional sportsmen): SA (singles — man & woman). 12 players. DA (doubles — man, woman, mixed). 8 doubles.

*Minimal number of participants in a rank needed for that rank to be conducted

Rules of participation

Applications

All sportsmen regardless of age, gender, proficiency and citizenship are allowed to participate in the League tournaments. Participants must send a filled-out Application in order to participate. A Check-in must be done at the tournament itself. Each player can submit an application to participate in no more than 3 events (but no more than 2 singles, 2 doubles or 2 mixed doubles) one category, choosing at his own discretion, but no lower than category assigned. Event organizers reserve the right to ban the player from a specific event (so as to prevent player skill level imbalance). Applications are moderated after application admission period ends.

Registration

Preliminary tournament registration is required. Preliminary tournament registration can be done via the online form, tournament, e-mail and FBBC coaches up to 23:59 (GMT+3) 9 May 2015.

Visa

Visa support for foreigners is possible. You must register before April 26th and send us this application, this will be grounds to receive a free sports visa.

If needed, we can provide accommodation search help.

Matches schedule

Game schedule and draws will be published on Tournamentsoftware two days before the tournament. It will be announced on the tournament page.

Fees

One event — 15$. Two events — 25$. Three events — 30$. Payment will accept only in BYR

Check-in

Check-in is a mandatory check-in with a tournament moderator and a single payment no later than 30 minutes before the player's first game (according to the game schedule). If a Check-in isn't done, the player will not be allowed to participate in the tournament.

Lateness & Delays

In case of the player being unable/late to enter the court without notifying the judges, the judges reserve the right to remove the player from the tournament after 5 minutes from the second call to the playing area. In this situation, the entering fee will not be refunded. Less than 32 players in a class — group system; Over 32 players in a class — Olympic system of exit according to BWF rules, until 1 defeat. All plays: 3 sets of 21 points

Rules & Scoring

Equipment

Participants must wear clean clothes (shorts/skirt, t-shirt/polo, shoes or sneakers), similar clothing for teammates is encouraged. Sportsmen are not allowed to participate in footwear which leaves black tracks on the floor; dirty footwear is not allowed

Shuttles

The tournament uses participants’ feather shuttles. Possibility to purchase shuttles on the spot guaranteed. Better quality shuttles are preferred. If both participants consent, a plastic shuttle can be used.

Warm-up courts

Organizers don’t guarantee that there will be separate warm-up courts

Prizes

Sportsmen who scored 1, 2, 3 places in each class are rewarded with medals and diplomas. Also, 1st and second places are rewarded with valuable prises.

Judges

Participants of the tournament can be asked by the organizers to participate as judges.

Insurance

All players that participate in the tournament understand that tournament organizers are not responsible for any health damage that occurred during the tournament. Tournament application is a written agreement that states that tournament organizers and FBBC are not responsible for any harm to health of the player that occurred during the tournament.

Medical Personnel

A physiotherapist will be present on the arena during the tournament.
