Chipping Sodbury – Tourist Information Centre (TIC) is looking for a volunteer to help out on a Thursday Afternoon. Chipping Sodbury Tourist Information Centre provides information on travel, tourism and entertainment to locals and visitors – Please enquire for more details.
This group helps to maintain and care for a 14th Century barn in Winterbourne, South Gloucestershire, a community led project working to revitalise the building and land with an emphasis on heritage and food farming and education. If you would like to join the group, please show up between the given times and pitch in.

Westonbirt Arboretum #westonbirt The Learning Team engages with visitors of all ages, delivering an informal hands-on learning experience with schools and colleges as well as families and students, helping them to explore and discover more about trees, the arboretum and nature. Each volunteer is asked to assist with at least 6 sessions per year. Sessions are all day or half day, Monday – Friday during school holidays Westonbirt Arboretum #westonbirt We are looking for a volunteer to assist with social media activities as part of the Friends development of a new website, to begin gathering more stories and contributors to ensure the blog becomes a key tool for engaging and communicating news. You would be volunteering about 1 day per week on a Monday, Thursday or Friday, based in the Friends membership and fundraising office. Do you have an interest in how technology can enable blind and partially sighted people to access information, develop their skills and become independent? Bridge House Residential Home ~ Volunteers needed to visit residents in care home – chat, play games etc. A small residential home; quizzes, crosswords, bingo, skittles, various games, going to shows locally, art and craft and keep fit sessions.

We have recently opened a new home independence showroom in Bristol – the Waterloo Centre – designed to showcase adaptations and equipment for older and disabled people. South Glos Youth Offending Team #SGYOT We are currently recruiting volunteers who have an empathy with young people to use their life experience, knowledge and skills. Mentors – mentors meet weekly with young people on a one-toone basis. Are seeking an Elderly Residents Visitor whom is chatty volunteers with friendly manner and good communication skills are welcome to visit residents over a cup of tea. Visits do not have to be regular, just when you can spare an hour or so of your day. Charlton House provides care for elderly residents in a very small residential home in Wickwar.
Volunteers to assist with the activities of the club including implementing play activities (sports/arts/dance/games) and helping with practical care by serving snacks to the children and clearing up afterwards, An opportunity to develop skills in dealing with children and in play work. An opportunity for people who would like to contribute to maintaining the club’s standards by giving it a thorough clean. Regular cleaning is carried out but the club is anxious to be sure that all areas of the club are properly cleaned.
