FELLOWSHIP FOR THE PUBLIC REALM

Perkins Eastman is offering a 9-week fellowship program for students who are interested in examining the interface between architectural design and public life. This paid fellowship takes place in our Union Square office in New York City. The chosen individual will work on architecture and urban designs and will help form a select team to develop a project. The project may focus on the architecture and potential evolution of some aspects of public space, placemaking, transportation, complete streets, public infrastructure, sustainable design, or other related concerns. The final developed project will be delivered in the form of a design proposal, white paper and/or seminar and will be critiqued by both peers and industry professionals. We will offer opportunities for publishing the final project as well, in a variety of mediums. APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS + A short statement proposing a project to undertake + A portfolio of academic and/or office work (PDF format) + Resume, with at least 3 years of Architecture school or equivalent + Writing sample SUBMISSION DETAILS Submissions are due by 5:00pm on Friday, May 20, 2016.
